Check out the book reviews. Casemate books has an outstanding series of books on WWI. The one I have read are first person accounts. The first was Knight of Germany (Oswald Boelcke). It is a daily account of his activities.

Peter Hart has written 3 excellent books on the history of the war drawing on letter from Pilots, Observers & aircrew plus an overview of both land & air war.
They are "Bloody April", "Somme Success" & "Aces Falling"
    Highly recommended.
If you are after Bios then James McCudden's "Flying Fury" & any of the Peter Killduff bios on Germans Aces will please.
