Default How rare are Zeros, Vals and Wildcats in the U.S. at the moment?

Just wondering as I came across a bunch of these as well as Hurris and Spits in a shop in Orlando yesterday

zeros are comparatively rare atm, as are most of the f4fs and vals but some of the non us and and the plane jane val are still available (last time i checked) from one of our distributors as well as common on the secondary market (ebay, miniatures market).

ps we have a couple in the shop atm

Off the top of my head there were a couple each of PRU Spits, Russian Hurris, Italian Stukas, U.S. Wildcats, and the French job (Morane?). Also a few each of all the Zeros and Vals. Prices were $12, $15 For the Vals.

Joaquim, sadly the Spits and Hurris went out of stock as soon as I saw them.

That's good for you, sad for me...
    Do you have paypal?
Can I ask you to buy for me 2 Wildcats and 2 Russian Hurricanes?
    I wanted Spits...

WoG is generally hard to find at a brick and mortar here in the northeast, so I'm stuck with the web. In my search experience, you can find most things on eBay if you're willing to pay for it (I'm not). As far as early warplanes: I've seen Zeroes often enough, and Vals are generally plentiful and inexpensive. The German B-2 - IV./LG 1 Stuka is rare. F4F-4 Wildcats are rare. Messerschmitt Bf 109s are rare. Spitfire's are rare. The Bader Hurricane is rare.

So basically, I go back, buy 'em out of everything and see who wants what after, is the plan.

Sounds like what I did this spring, on my way to Enfilade 2014. Cleaned out the only LGS on Vancouver Island with any Wings of War stock (found the store in 2012, and I was the only person that had bought anything in the intervening time). Took all the Bf-109s, F4Fs, Zeros, a Fire from the Sky boxed set, and some booster packs collecting dust they had. All the minis are gone (thanks Neil [Skafloc]!). I still have the box and a few Recon Patrol packs.

So, if you can buy the minis, you'll find someone to buy them. Especially if you offer them for a little less than the prices they are posting on line these days!

The only ones relatively easily available are the French Dewoitines. The rest go from Rare to Extremely Rare. Even the aesthetically challenged Russki Hurricane II is getting difficult to find, due to people buying them for repaints.

I just saw this. Check out Miniature Market. They have Vals/Spit Mk-IX/Dutch and Russian Hurricanes and some Marlets. I received an order this week (WWI stuff) and just placed another one. The also have some of the ARES booster packs. Don't mean to seem like I am promoting them just some info.

Dear Bob, my last terrible problem was with Miniature Market.
    I've sent for some planes.
    It took ages to arrive.
4 planes were misplaced and one didn't arrive.
    I've complaint.
They told me they would send the missing planes.
Only after my third inquiry about the shipping number they sent me 3 of the 5 missing planes and refunded 1 of them.
    This took almost 4 months.
And I sent for their planes because they had old nexus planes.
    Not good.

As we used to say in IT support: "well it works for me".
    So,
Information: Anyone else having trouble seeing the pic, it's a bloody big box.
Stories: I walked into a game store and cleared them out of all their WoW WW2 stock. (There may be another story if Customs stop me on the way back....)
Dreams: some of the content may become available if anyone wants it. First dibs for anyone attending Donnie

    Happy now Joaquim?

First pick on that one, that there, the one over there and those two. Ah, and on that also, the one there, yes!

    I'm enjoying this, Steve.
I accept your challenge and raise it. Never forget that when something goes your direction from Portugal, I may send it parcel by parcel...
Something with a lot of pieces...
And you know I'll do it, don't you?

So, managed to get my stash past Customs on the way back, so I can reveal my haul as being:

    3x Ju87 1/STG 3
    2x Ju87 IV/LG3
    1x Ju87 Sugaroni
    2x Belgian Hurricanes
    1x Russian Hurricane
    2x Martlets
    1x Spitfire I (le Mesurier)
    1x Dewoitine 520
    1x B25 Doolittle
    1x He III Stab/KG3
    1x Zero Kamiko
    1x Zero Shindo
    1x Zero Sakai
    3x Val Makino
    3x Val Yamakawa
    3x Val Takahashi

They were a bit cheaper in the States than they are in the U.K. I've put most of them up for sale at cost price plus p&p in the sale/trade/classified forum if anyone wants to take a look (Will be up once post has been moderated)
