    Lightbulb Air Attack Malta!

Played at 8:am in the morning at Guns Of August 2014

Air attack on Malta. A raid early in the Malta defense along the southern coast.

    Forces:

Italian: Two SM-79 bombers escorted by three CR-42`s and a C.200.

RAF: Three Gladiators MK II and a Hurricane MK II.

Set up. The attackers started two firing sticks from the coast. The Defenders over the Island.

Too say that this game was an hour long fur ball would not be an exaggeration! With ten players in total and half being novices it was an amazing game. My friend Rich
was the only RAF player with any experience. Their best plane in the hands of the youngest player. This marked the first use of the CR-42 and Gladiator they were found to be
    maneuverable if under armed.

In the end the Italians were the holders of the high ground. They swept the RAF from the skies. They attacked the airfield and had a bomber and two fighters survive.

    A truly epic game!

    Another great game Rich.
Whenever I play these games, it makes me wonder just how the Gladiators held on so long without any support, or getting shot down.

    Thumbs up

The secret is they lasted long enough. Even with Hurricanes defending Malta was no walk in the park! In this game only one defender had played WOW/WOG before. The attackers were all veterans!

    Rookies you mean?

The last biplanes are perfect for introducing new players to WW II.

Yes Last Biplanes and Revolution in the Air are a lesson Ares learn. They are a board game with miniatures added!

If i have 3 F-Toys CR-42 and three Shapeways Gladiators. Bob used his two SM-79`s and an odd C.200 and Hurricane. It was a great game. For 8am in the morning it was a good turn out!
