Thread: Finally!!

    Default Finally!!

Finally after a long time ( 1 month and 13 days ) my WWII package arrived.
10 minis and Fire From the Sky set.
    Attachment 141297
The minis are much smaller that i thought. But much more detailed that i thought too.
Mounted and ready to go on action.
    Attachment 141298
    The Axis.
    Attachment 141299
    The Allies.
    Attachment 141300
Lancaster and B-17G (which were not included in the package)
    Attachment 141301
    Attachment 141302
Detail on the B-17. The crew markings on the Lancaster were very small, so i couldn't do any photos ( mainly with and iPad camera).
    Attachment 141313
Besides this i have some questions:
Whats up with the background of these cards?
    Attachment 141303
    Attachment 141304
And a Stuka with no firing cones?
    Attachment 141309
I know the planes in combination dont help in making any realistic scenario. Thats why i plan on expanding the "collection" with paper models, which are fun to make and great mounted.
I thought in making some Thunderbolts with brazilian markings, and this way making a series of AARs based on the Brazilian campaing on Italy.
    What do you think?
    Thanks

    Nick

No matter the pics' position, Nicolas. Great you got the minis. I would love to see the planes with Brazilian markings, It would truly enhance our knowledge and fun of the game. Why not starting a special thread with the painting guides of those planes for all of us? Go on!

Now you must put your eyes in these miniatures, since you've bought Fire in the Skies:

He's in Brazil -- of course his pics are inverted. ;)

Now why didn't I think of doing that. A gaming board on the ceiling, more space, doesn't interfere with swmbo, leaves the table free....now all I need are more magnets and a metal sheet to bolt onto the ceiling and glue the pegs together etc etc etc.
See you on the Dark Side......

I believe that most of Brazil (including Sao Paulo) is below the equator. So to those of us in Europe and North American, you are upside-down, Nicolas.

Looks like the B-17 and the Lancaster are die cast 1/144 models. But they are very good models. Congratulations on your new purchase.

They are 1/144 and very detailed but very fragile too. The first day with the B-17 i broke almost everything on it. But nothing superglue cant do. As Joaquim once said to me, the differences (of scale) are pretty clear. But, i can live with that, at least with bombers.
    Thanks
