Thread: LGW's Work Bench

    Default LGW's Work Bench

Thought I would post some pics of my current work load. I am not a painter but I do find it relaxing.

    Flight of Finnish BF 109's
Still need to source some Finnish decals. Gone with a more weathered look as the Finns had to keep on using what ever they had and didn't have as many planes as the Soviets. So a "well used" feel was what I wanted.

My two Stukas I wanted to have two very striking paint jobs so I could identify each one from a distance. I really like how they came out. Just need to add decals to the Ju87G.

My Son's IL 2's still need to add some small amount of weathering and Russian slogans. I am most likely not going to add on the Soviet Stars to the actual Russian planes but will add Red Stars to all of the lend-lease planes.

A flight P-39's not sure what paint job to do with these. I need to get more red stars for these. But I think they need some thing else just really bland at the moment.

    Thumbs up

That's a great looking "Amarda" so far Alan & the Decals will enhance them even more.

    Thx Barry and Tim

Still trying to hunt down some decals for the Finns. I have some German decals I can use in the 2nd Stuka and I am going to use the U.S decals but paint out the markings and leave the star which will then be painted red.

I will admit to being and average painter. Looking forward to getting some bigger planes.
Will update as each flight gets finished.

    Thx Joaquim

There will be plenty of AAR's once they are all decaled. First mission will be two recon groups meeting each other. Three P-39's vs two Bf 109's.

Then we will escalate it from there.
