Default A big thank you to Mike Old guy59

Just like to give Mike a big thanks for my new snazzy Banner. I notice that he has generously created several other banners for the OTT pilots, all of which look the Biz.

    Rob,
Would you check my Banner Album, and see if the latest addition is something you might use? If not, changes? I have an awesome rOEN911 image of a Walrus.

    Dave,
Is that a hint, or do you want a matching one with your avatar?

No Mike that wasn't a hint
Wingco pm'd me to see if I was happy with my sig - now that was a hint !!
Though the avatar one is very nice I'm happy with what I have but my wording probably needs to be updated to 'South East of England Squadron Leader' and the blue dot moved to somewhere actually near Sussex - ie down and to the right or SE of where it is now !

    Dave,
Check the Banner album again? I have added your position to the banner, and I did check Google Earth for your home town. Map's a little small to pick it out exactly, but I hope I'm close.

Well at least it's in the SE now ! If you put it where I live you'd lose the effect of the dot as it would be just above Eastbourne on the coast & be lost in the outline - I live in Hailsham (pronunced locally as 'Ailsham!)

By the way, does anybody think about giving a graphic background under avatar to Mike?

I tried putting the cross hair in Sussex, with exactly that result. Half of the cross hair was obscured by the border and drop shadow. I could make the color different?

Do you really want the standard plane?

Guys I would like to say that in the short time I've been here I've noticed that Mike "oldguy59" is one of the biggest contributors to the site when it comes to designing and making things, more often than not without being asked..... my signature for instance as well as cards and avatars.

So I would like to nominate publicly as there is no way to do it in the medal sections either the:

WoWA Designer medal or the Special Operations "Awarded to those members that go above and beyond to support the site and community."

Both I think are apt in this case!

WoW designer would seem most apt, looks like Herr Oberst has the word on those.
