I know beauty is in the eyes of the beholder but what do you think the best looking miniatures?
IMHO I love the looks of the Albatross and the SPAD but not too sure the British ones were much in the aesthetic line. Maye the Camel?

Its hard to say one between WWI and WWII. As I don't have all minis, this is a shot in the dark based on images: I think the DH4 are stunning, along with the DH2 and Fokker D.VII.
Thanks

You are so right in "Beauty is in the Eye---"
I have always loved the SE 5a but it is not beautiful--- just looks right.
As far as beautiful Aircraft are concerned the Roland Walhfish, Albatross D.III & Pfalz D.III are right up there.
i really, really like the fokker dVII even though its a bit boxy. if we're going with aesthetics only id have to go with the shapely albatross and if you add in paintwork id have to go with brumowskis dIII
I think Soubiran's SPAD VII is really nicely done, although I am a little disappointed that both the SPAD VII and SPAD XIII are so undersized compared to the other planes... they are like 1/200 scale (or something) rather than 1/144, kind of a shame for me, as a confessed SPADdict.
My #1 plane is the Pfalz DIII, then Albatros all models and rounding out my top three would be the Nieuport 11 and 17. Just love the graceful lines of these three aircraft.
For me it has to be the Pfalz DIII for the CP and the Nieuport Bebe for the Allies.

The Siemens-Schuckert D.III and D.IV are really looking rock'n'roll. The Nieuport 17 is a lovely elegant plane, as well as the Albatrosses (except for the wing spacing of the D.III) and last but not least - the Halberstadt CL.II: amazingly streamlined and well proportioned.
