Spitfire into Battle

I recommend this book to everybody, but specially to my fine companions in BoB and Malta Campaigns.
It's a very lively and first hand biography of someone who's been there and lived it all.
Some of his battles real resemble our AAR's.

What I liked the best:
The way Spitfires are portrayed.
The air combat descriptions.
The campaigns he's been through.
The perception this book gives us of the air war.

What I liked less:
He's a man from the establishment so very rarely there's a critic about someone or some decision done by the allies.

I will try to pick it up Quim.
Whilst we are on the subject of Malta.
I have just finished "The last Torpedo flyers" by Arthur Aldridge. Some of this book covers a good deal of action over and around Malta flown by him and his oppos in their Beauforts.
I will post a synopsis when I get back on Monday.
