Looking for any ideas on Eastern front mission.

    We currently have:
    1x Stuka dive bomber

    2x IL 2's

    Will be getting:
    3x bf109's
    3x Lagg-3's

Looking for something straight forward as my opponent will be my 6 year old son.

Thx for any and all help given. Btw we will are noobs to the WWII format having played a bit of the WWI games back in the day.

    Cheers

As a suggestion Alan take a browse through the WW2 After Action Reports as Carl_Brisgamer has a couple of Eastern Front scenarios written up.

I can see some ground straffing/tank busting missions there. Late arrival by some fighters.

Then its a choice take on the fighters, defend the ground units or go home for vodka/schnapps?

I like the idea of a strafing run unfortunately I sold all of my 15mm tanks only have British tanks left. Then again been also thinking of splurging out on some GHQ tanks (1/285 scale) they would give that illusion of being at lower altitudes..

Would get some T-34's and Panzer IV's add in a fighter squadron of 3 fighters (bf109 or Lagg-3's) we could then alternate strafing missions see who can destroy the tanks the fastest and more dramatically while avoiding the enemy fighters. Much like Carl's Ostfront AAR.

Will ponder this over the coming weeks see what I can come up with.

    Cheers

Check the file section for target cards.

One of Carl_Brisgamer's scenarios was in fact just such a tank busting mission.

I read that mission was a great read. Will try to do mission like that.

Will check for ideas in the AAR section.

Battle of Kursk in the air!
Add some tanks or AA Guns to your collection and you get the mission I'm thinking about for the next Prague Con.
You can find an inspiration here:

Finally got a chance to review that mission and I can easily see a battle of kursk version.
Flights of Stuka divie bombing Russian tanks or the Stuka tank hunters strafing collums of armour. Will have to sit down and work out the details.

    Thx for the link.
