Thread: Jammed Guns

    Default Jammed Guns

Quote ... If a damage card with the jammed symbol is drawn, the firing airplane has jammed its guns ... The firing airplane cannot fire after each of the next three maneuvers.

As an example of this rule:

    Turn 1
Movement & Firing Step 1 - No combat
Movement & Firing Step 2 - Damage Card with Jammed symbol drawn
Movement & Firing Step 3 - Firing airplane cannot fire

    Turn 2
Movement & Firing Step 1 - Firing airplane cannot fire
Movement & Firing Step 2 - Firing airplane cannot fire
Movement & Firing Step 3 - Firing airplane can fire once again

Is my example shown above correct in terms of my understanding of the Guns Jammed rules?

Thank you in advance for your clarification!

    Exactly the way I play.

There are some things that affect it, depending on house rules or advanced rules I haven't gotten to yet.

Rookie, or injured, pilots may need four maneuvers to unjam guns. If you do steep maneuvers you may delay unjamming guns, etc...

However, your example is the generally accepted way to play a jam indication.

    Thank you Mike!

I am slowly working my way through the Basic - Standard - Advanced - Optional - House rules.

I do understand things may change as new rules are added.

That's the procedure Richard but as Mike says add another movement for injured pilots and rear gunners.

Add the card in for Rookie's too. Should take 4 to unjam.
See you on the Dark Side......
