This is a great share, thank you mate, i am just watching it while working .

One interesting thing is how Mannock expressed his hard feelings towards Richthofen - "I hope the bastard burned the whole way down".
+1 on that. I just cannot make myself admire people like Richthofen.

Brilliant find. Never seen this before. great to watch and get the human angle of the air war. I do hope the war graves commission revisits the evidence as it seems likely that the grave is Mannocks.
See you on the Dark Side......

McCudden's memoir (mentioned in the video), FLYING FURY: Five Years in the Royal Flying Corps, is outstanding. I highly recommend it.

Thanks for the link! That was a great watch and good insight into the war.
I didn't realize the sheer number of casualties in both training and combat, or just how young most of the Aces were when they were shot down.

Flying Fury: Five Years in the Royal Flying Corps is fantastic.

Without being overbearing, I feel that everyone who has not read it should. It has helped shape my fascination with air operations during the Great War.

Whereas the paperback and hardcover versions are typically used and/or expensive, the e-reader version is accessible and reasonably inexpensive. This is the version I read, and can be found at the following sites:
