    Default Clipper's Dad Delivers!

My 1 1/2 year old grandson Henry just received this from my 82 year old dad! He made one for my sons to have many many years ago as well, keeping the Clipper tradition flying!

Just wide enough to get through a 36" door!

    A gorgeous toy !
It is easy to see where your modeling skills come from.
Did you spend hours in the workshop with your Dad when you were growing up ?

Years of it! He built airplanes for real, converted WWII planes into fire fighters and many home builts including some WWI stuff, then he taught aviation mechanics and construction, then ran a trade school for 20 years. In those days we converted to models and regular visits to airshows and museums. Lots of airplanes indeed!

That looks fantastic Henry should get hour of enjoyable flight time in that.
    It leaves the question though
When will we see this one in the mold and heaps of twins in various camo colours appearing?
    Pour me a "Henry"
Keep the elves away from it Mrs Clipper.

I see that you train pilots young in your family, David.

You have no idea how young we begin the nurturing process . . .

    A great toy indeed Dave.
My Grandfather was always turning up with wooden toys he had made for me when I was young, and I am grateful that I now have many of his old tools to use in my own workshop. It seems that what goes round comes round in due course.

I see where you get your talent from. How many here have that same deck of cards? Mine is a duel set of planes (WWII) and ships (1940-60). Bought this set at the USS Wisconsin museum in Norfolk.

I was always taught "two wings, round engine = real airplane!" One of my dad's friends flew a Saggerwing as a bush plane in Alaska!
