I have to do a new count and update my list. Hope the next series is out soon.
I think we are all in the same boat Bob.
My WW2 aircraft seem to be coming in thick and fast.

I own the following:
I started with the Wings of Glory starter set.
B-17G (Bit O'Lace)
P40 Warhawk (Gisclon)
P40 Warhawk (Hill)
P51-D Mustang (Ellington)
F-4 Wildcat (Galen)
Ki-61-1KAic (Kobayashi)
Mitsubish A6-M2 (Sakai)
Heinkel H5
Yak-1 (Durand)
Re.2001 GV Falco II (Vaccari)
I feel like I have one more but I don't think I really do.
I have 2 in a cart right now - P40 (Lott) & the Ki-61 that does "D" damage because my son really wants to use those chits.
I want to add a 3rd, but haven't decided what it should be. I saw some for $6 but they are they old WoW plans, and I'm not sure what I would do with them.
I also have the Spitfire & Me109 blister packs. So I can have 3 of each type of plane.

Not bad going Mischa, but I must mention the compulsion to buy more aircraft which creeps up on you.It is not coincidence that these two Emoticons are included in the list any more than this one. Which reminds me, I should be in the bar with Neil now.

Ok, - i updated my list, I thought I had 2 WoW planes and I was right, it was the A6M2, not the Ki-84. Duh, I knew it wasn't large cards.
So, I got some $$$ from my mom, she couldn't find the game I wanted, so she just gave me cash. Let's say you were getting 3 planes. Given my list, for mostly dog-fights & all rules except (alt) (so far) w/ a 10 year old, what plane would you add? So far he doesn't care about scenarios, he likes to just pick 2 planes and go at it. Lil GR always picks Ki-61-1KAic (Kobayashi) and then one more to go with it.
Let's say we add 3 planes: Ki-61 that does D damage is a given. What else would you suggest from any WoW or WoG WWII planes.
I was initially looking at another P40 (lott), but I guess it doesn't really balance me out, I'm heavy on US planes as it is! The Me110, a Beaufighter, or the new series planes all look great and all look like fun.
Coming in the mail today (hopefully!) are:
P-51D Mustang
Spitfire MK.IX
FW-190 D-9
Nakajima KI-84 Hayate
Other than that, I just have the cards for the planes from the Dawn of War set, which I hope to start matching up to models soon.
I recently snapped up a brand new copy of the English Edition Wings of War Deluxe set off ebay.
My 2 main areas of focus are Battle of Britain and Pacific so the old deluxe set fit my interests perfectly.
Along with the 4 minis in the deluxe set I have
F4F Wildcat (Mc Worther)
Messerschmitt Bf109 (Molders)
Spitfire Mk.1 (Falkowski)
Mitsubishi Zero (Shindo)
P40 Warhawk (Lott) Had to get one of these because my grandfather flew them in the Pacific. (Technically a Kittyhawk)
Because I have been handed a 6 month no planes ban by my wife (probably a good thing) I have planned my stages of attack once the ban is expired.
1st phase: try to acquire the rest of the WoW first series plus Bader's Hurricane and He111 (Stab) although the 109s will be almost impossible to find
2nd phase: get my family to bring both Lancasters, both B17s, both B25s, Beaufighter (Herrick), Me110 (Schupp) back from the States
3rd phase: try and acquire all the late war fighters
4th phase: wait for series 6
5th phase: figure out how to store it all
Sam a bit of advice from a plastic/metal crack addict,
Disregard ban from wife (probably why I am sperated now, but at least I can buy all the mins when I want)
Remove car from garage and turn it into a games room/man cave it's amazing how much room you will have with decent shelving, it is also even more amazing how quickly you will fill it all up.
If I remember correctly, and assuming Herr Oberst is correct (I see no reason to believe otherwise), you might not have all that long to wait. Apparently, we've got a Battle of Britain themed release in the pipeline. I would imagine a Galland reprint would be a good seller as there's still demand and they're nearly impossible to find.

I totally missed the first releases so a reprint of any Battle of Britain planes will be fantastic for me.

I just received 4x Spitfire Mk 1 and 4x bf-109E from AIM.
Now I'm just waiting on a shipment of paints to come in.
If you need some unpainted ones, I found these metal ones.
How true! See below.
So, despite my wanting to stay in the Pacific Theater..we went exactly as listed above. We looked at the planes and I let Lil GR pick. He picked based on paint scheme and damage.
The following were bought AND the ones on clearance were an additional 10% off!!! He wanted the ME110 so that the Heinkel we have will get an escort. The following will be joining our fleet soon.
Wings of Glory: WWII - Messerschmitt Bf.110 C-4 (Radusch) (Clearance) AREWGS202C 1 $9.95
Wings of Glory: WWII - Bristol Beaufighter Mk.VIF (Davoud) (Clearance) AREWGS201C 1 $9.95
Wings of Glory: WWII - Kawasaki Ki-61 (Ichikawa) AREWGS103B 1
Additionally, because they were on clearance and the special sale with additional 10% off:
Wings of War - Aichi D3A1 Val (Takahashi/Kozum) (Clearance) FFGWW25L 1
Wings of War - Aichi D3A1 Val (Yamakawa/Nakata) (Clearance) FFGWW25J 1
Wings of War - Aichi D3A1 Val (Makino/Sukida) (Clearance) FFGWW25K 1
Wings of Glory: WWII - Gloster Gladiator Mk.I (Krohn) (Clearance)
I am also jumping in and getting the Merit pack of 4 Wildcats to chase these Vals.
Thanks mom!!!!!!
Originally I only collected WWI. Last year I dipped my toe into WW2 and then fell in way over my head. I tried to just do Pacific theater but convinced myself I should get at least one of each plane so I could have all the decks. Now I have multiples of each released plane. Luckily the early Spits and 109s will be out again soon as they are the only ones I missed. I did get a few Shapeways but they are down on the paining list now I know ARES will have them again.
all ares/nexus, a few online stores here in italy still have some of the early dawn of war releases (Zeros, F4Fs, D520, Bf-109 and Spits), Stukas with italian markings are difficult but possible to find, the ones with german markings and Bader's hurricanes (the only one with british markings) are very hard to find and pricey (i payd near 39 euros for the 4th one)
I have no idea of what the shipping cost to NZ would be but i can inquire if you want (as an educated guess i daresay it would be very expensive tho)
Cheers, Claudio
A few pictures this morning for the crew.
Nice collection starting to develop there Paul.
I hope you are finding all the ones you need.

Update
Just received my 2 109s. Molders and Galland. Normal market value too.
Sam that is a nice catch as those are hard to find and usually expensive when you can find them.
That is a good buy, Sam. Well done!
Nice find Sam. I've never seen either of them.
This is my latest status for my collection. I would love some more Me109's and early Spitfires.
All planes weathered a little by dry brushing neat Mig powders onto them near the exhaust areas and behind the guns.
Any that are repainted or have a spinner cone altered, I then find matching plane cards from a Dawn of War box set I got for Ł6 off eBay. All the counters were unpunched too!
British
Lancaster
Beaufighter
3 x Spitfire MkIX late war. All the same model but with a single letter changed on the fuselage for differentiation
4 x Spitfire Mkii. All the same model but with a single letter changed on the fuselage for differentiation
1 x Spitfire Mki (I killed the other three stripping paint off!)
4 x Hurricanes Van der Hove as std. Van der Hove with decals changed. 2 x Kutsenov with decals changed and a bit of repaint.
All planes weathered a little by dry brushing neat Mig powders onto them near the exhaust areas and behind the guns.
Axis
He 111
2 x Me110 With decals changed and spinner cone coloured for differentiation.
2 x Ju87. These are the Italian planes repainted and decaled for differentiation.
3 x FW190. Box fresh.
4 x Me109 with engine cover repaints for differentiation. Again, a replacement card was found in the Dawn of War box I have.
3 x Ju88. Zvezda on Aerodrome Accessories bases. Yet to drill and pin the plane ready for mounting, I also need to make the decks and the plane cards.
So, more than some, but less than others. I was trying to keep it Battle of Britain themed, but some FW190's slipped in. The Spitfire IX may get converted to early war by removing the air intakes and the cannon and going for a repaint. However, if Ares do the right thing and release loads of stuff for the 75th anniversary year I will leave them and buy lots of new stuff.
Nice info on the Mk IX's to V's. Have to go and buy some of those now!
See you on the Dark Side......
In answer to what you have, I have 43 WWII planes pretty evenly split between Axis and Allies. I have 11 Japanese, 10 German, 10 British, 9 American, 2 Russian, and 3 French. Add to that another 80 planes for WWI.
I am going to get more of both. I am especially looking for more Zero's and Val's as well as P40's.
