A bit of a long shot, but I figure there's no harm in asking....
Does anyone know of photos or drawings of 216 Squadron's Handley Pages? Specifically I'm looking for aircraft carrying the distinctive large flight letter and aircraft number on the fuselage side, which was characteristic of 216 in particular (unlike most HP units, who carried little more than roundels and tail codes.) I have both O/400 Windsock datafiles, as well the excellent British Aviation Squadron Markings, but that's about all I have that covers the HPs, and only gives me three machines:
A1, 3134.
A3, 3121.
B3, 3135.
Now I realise that for such big aircraft the O/100s were surprisingly little photographed, but if anyone can fill in a blank or two I'd be very grateful. (A2 would be especially welcome, as given that I have A1 and A3 I might end up reduced to making something up to fill such an obvious gap, which I'm not thrilled about....)
Cheers,
Dom.
PS - If you want to call me an idiot for my thread title, feel free; the three machines I've mentioned were all O/100s, not O/400s....
