Torsten and his observer, Dagobert had been doing a quick recon over no-man's land when they were bounced by a Camel and an SE5 somewhere north off the Aisne River. Despite his best efforts to shake his determined foe, they closed in for the kill, when suddenly...
...from out of nowhere flashed a black Dr1, scything between the pursing planes to unleash a quick, close burst on the SE5, so close in fact that his wingtip struck the Camel's propeller. Before the SE5 had time to react, the Dr1 flicked around and unleashed a second fusillade into it, bringing it down...
The Camel, having recovered from his close shave, turned his craft towards the interloper and let loose his guns. Too eager, the rounds missed his quarry, but he received fire from Dagobert in the retreating Ufag...
The Camel pilot, infuriated, now seemed determined to bring down Torsten, once again bringing his nose around to aim at the Ufag...
However, the Dr1 seemed equally determined to claim a brace for himself and let loose a long range shot which hit the Camel's fuel line, setting it ablaze...
With Torsten beating a hasty retreat, the Dr1 swung in behind the pursuing Camel, guns blazing as much as the Camel's own engine...
And with a cinematic inevitability the Camel fell to earth...
The little black fighter escorted the Ufag back to the airfield, whereupon the pilot leapt from his barely halted craft and bounded over to Torsten and Dagobert.
"We owe you one!" said Torsten, shaking him by the hand.
"Excellent," beamed The Black Knight, "I'll have a schnapps!"
