    Default Reporting for duty

    Dearest chumrades!
Didn't fancy the mud and blood of the old trenches, so though I'd give the flying corp a try!
Based in sunny Lancashire, so well used to hellish weather! Looking forward to learning from those canny enough to have made it back unscathed from a trip over the front.
Yours etc, etc (now where's the whisky?)

On behalf of the rest of the pilots based here in the U.K. welcome to the Drome Peter.
See you down at the Mess later for a snifter and a chin wag.

A belated welcome from the UK North Squadron Peter. A better choice than slogging it out in the trenches. Although it can be a bit hairy in the air too. (Especially if you get shot down it can be a long trudge home, through the mud!). Happy flying, hope to see you at one of the shows. We're supporting Carronade if you feel up to the journey to Falkirk this Saturday.

See you on the Dark Side......

Many thanks for the warm welcome all!
I had the good fortune to bump into some of yourselves up at Vapnartak in York in February, so I look forward to making some of your acquaintances in the not-too-distant future!
    Kind regards,
    Peter

Ah, now I understand, all is clear. Did you manage to join in the WW1 or WW2 game or was it the air raid siren that blew your mind? We take full responsibility but there is no come back on the management. Now a few quick circuits of the 'Drome, a nice landing and a spot of dinner in the mess with a few afterwards with a jolly good old led by the WingCo with tales of his sujourn to sunnier climes.
