Default On this day 23 April - U.S. pilot captured by a Chinese counterpart

On the 23rd of April, 1994, a U.S. pilot was enjoying a morning flight when his electronic warfare system alerted him of an enemy fighter that had locked unto his plane. Thinking he was flying over neutral Hong Kong, he soon learned that the Chinese aggressor was determined to be victorious. After a brief, but exciting dogfight, the Chinese pilot not only defeated the American, but subsequently captured him. Twenty years later, he is still her prisoner. The American - 7eat51; the Chinese - ling.

Friends, please join me in toasting the reason the last 20 years have been the best 20 of my life. To my beloved wife, Sue -

Congratulations on 20 years with a wonderful woman. You don't see many married that long these days. Enjoy many more. Also as I sit here I think 23 must be a good number. My sister will be married 50 years on 23 May and my wife (Dang) and I will be 35 years on 23 Aug. May have to play 458 and 1723 for lottery numbers.
