    Default Updated Aircraft stats

I've just uploaded an updated version of the unofficial stats. Nothing earth-shattering:

Added Morane BB (Just for Flash )
Halberstadt D.II/D.III has B armament, not A or B options.
    Added Halberstadt D.V
All Sopwith Strutters re-rated as V manoeuvre deck, as is FE2b.

    Thanks Steve.
That will mean changing a few cards then.

OOPS - that one fell through the cracks, thought we'd done it long ago.

    A quick look -

    Maximum speed: 156 km/h (97 mph) at 2,000 m (6,560 ft)
    Service ceiling: 4,800 m (15,740 ft)
    Climb to 3,000 m (9,840 ft): 15 min 50 s

    G* maneuver, climb 5, ceiling 11, damage - 10 , about the same as a BB. Armament B/B or B/A

It keeps us on our toes though, and does excellent QA work to improve the data.
We don't have every kind of plane that fought in WWI. But we have most of them now. Just about all of those available in 1/144, except for the Paul Schmitt PS7, the Caudron G.6, the Albatros C.V/16 and /17..

Now to get a link to a card for each one of them. One that matches the stats.

    We'll take the P of course ...!
Thanks to the committee for all their continued good work.

O-kay... what is a "V" deck? Why the change for the FE and the Strutter?

The V deck is the new official Ares version of the old unofficial J* deck.

Just looking at the list now and I don't see the Halberstadt D.II/III

One more I'd like to see, Nieuport 11, is that the same as the 10?

The deck hasn't changed just the nomenclature - Ares have formalised the J* deck as Bruce said.

Can't view my spreadsheet but sure they're in there Pete - should be official types as Nexus had cards for them.

The Strutter's V-deck : with or without the Immelmann card?

With. We found fairly convincing evidence that not only could the 2-seater fighter version of the strutter do loops, but did them well, and in combat.

I took up one of our aircraft to demonstrate to my pilots just what could be done with it. In the back seat I had as a passenger Tom Purdey, my Adjutant, and thinking that thirteen might be the right number, psychologically, for such a display, I performed thirteen consecutive loops. Everything about my demonstration went off very well until I landed, and then I found that I had not warned Purdey about what I was going to do, and than he had not been strapped in. Throughout the whole of the thirteen loops he had been hanging on to the fixtures in the interior of the cockpit, and grim death had been staring him in the face. He could all too easily have fallen out, and I was very angry with myself for such thoughtlessness on my part, although Purdey, after his first fright, took it all in good spirit. My pilots, I need hardly say, were delighted with what they thought was an enormous joke.

The FE2b and d should both be the G deck.. 148kph is in the 140-160kph speed band, and that's the most reliable figure we have. The FE2 is recorded as using "hammerheads" - immelmans- as a standard combat tactic.

Thanks Zoe, I didn't think it was. I don't have all the card sets and didn't think of looking for it in the official releases.
