Default Visit to RAF Museum London

    Morning, chaps!

I'll be visiting RAF Museum London with my Father this Saturday (and HMS Belfast the same day or Sunday); the places we both have been longing to see for ages. If anybody of you happen to be around, we may have a beer there together (do they serve beer in the Museum
    ?
We are going to stay in London at
    Aparthotels-London Tower Bridge
    151-153 Tower Bridge Road.
from 18th till 22nd of April.

    Andy.

It's a real shame that we have missed you by only a week Andy.
I would have loved to meet your dad.
Have a great time in London.

Unfortunately the Graham-White hangar with the WW1 collection is currently closed as they are revamping it for a new exhibition later in the year. Sadly, I think that one or two current exhibits will disappear into storage when it re-opens.
Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!

I read IWM is closed for renovation for August 1914-2014 exhibition by now as well. That's life. Arghhh!

Have a great time Andrzej - a week earlier and you could have been at Salute with us - sadly I have family commitments taking me elsewhere this weekend.

Andy, hope you have a fantastic time visiting London.

The nearest Tube station to the RAF Museum at Hendon is actually Colindale - many actually think it is Hendon Central but the museum is in walking distance of Colindale. It is a pity you cannot visit Cosford (the northern UK counterpart to Hendon) too when you visit the UK. Of the two Cosford has become my favourite all because of the way the Cold War Hangar there left me stuck for words (aircraft rarely do this to me but all three 'V Bombers' preserved under the same roof and within feet of one another ... Leaves me speechless!)

By the way ... They probably do serve bottled beers like 'Avro Lancaster' and 'Spitfire Real English Ale' in the cafeteria area at the museum. Both of which are worth a try - 'Spitfire' especially
