    I came across this photograph in 'Marine Aircraft of the 1914-1918 War' by H.J.Nowarra page 194.

    The crew of Austrian Lohner flying boat L126 tore strips of fabric off its wings to make into sails and bring it home after it was stranded with engine trouble.
