I like the idea and the cards. Nice work! I also like this movie. It is being re-released on DvD here in the USA in wide screen format. I have ordered a copy which will be here next week, can't wait to see in widescreen.

Do you know that Ernst Kessler character is based on Ernst Udet german ace ?
we just have the "wrong" plane for him ...like the Rolling tones said, just have "painted it black"

my next one will be Bruno Stachel card...

Bruno Stachel, from the Blue Max great movie.
this is not the DR1 he flies in the movies,( with unapropriate hexa graphic design) ...
or do you prefer with pin up, like I did for wwII fighters ?

    Eric!

    Another great card!

What Bruno`s plane is missing is the message he had painted on the top wing in English! Have you read the book?

    hello
don't know if the book available in french...i only saw the (excellent) movie.
what was the sentence on the plane , do you remember it ?

    Eric!

In the book Bruno is drunk a lot! He asks the ground adjutant who speaks English to translate an insult! This he has written in white on the upper wing. In the book he flies a few missions and does not get the reaction he wanted from the RFC pilots. He brings down a observation plane and is introduced to it`s crew. They really want to met the pilot with and this is a guess on my part, since they never say what it is. F**K ME on the wing instead of F**K YOU.
It is described as two short words! He has it painted over immediately! He also does not talk to the ground adjutant, much after that!

well, it's perhaps too "hard", guess we have young fellow there ...
ask if you want me to remove picture.
but, i made some changes on the plane, add some "details", remove pin up (more wwII style) and add picture.

Nice, I like the WWI style since it fits in more with the rest of the cards... but the stat area and card back are the WWII style still.
