Reporting aboard

Having picked my way out of the smoldering wreckage of my Caproni, brushed most of the soot off my flight jacket (shame about the scarf, though, and the Benson & Hedges are long gone, alas), and hitched a ride or several back to the field, I thought I should report in.

I've played the game a time or two with a group of good friends (and recently, my two sons). For today's mission I had a flight of three Capronis (Ca.3s) with escorts, attempting to bomb a fuel and ammo depot Jerry was assembling for an imminent push. The first bomber went down about halfway to the target, the other two as I was lining up my runs (I was a turn or perhaps two from dropping in both cases). Though I failed, it was a lot of fun, and my 11-year-old got a kill in his Camel.

On behalf of the pilots based in the U.K. welcome to the Drome Ken. You have obviously started off in the deep end with your bomber. Things will improve especially if you run with an escort. It's incredible how a Scout acts like a magnet to all the aircraft trying to shoot down your bomber.
