Now that is some nice work -- the weathering is very real!
Cheers,
KW
Beautifully done, Eric. Great stuff.
John.
Awsome affect with the weathering. Good job!
That's quite well done!
I'd say I'm curious to see how you did it, but then I just know I'd try and inevitably screw the whole thing up...
hello !
well, that's very kind !
here is my secret : i use lavis citadel, especially devlan mud (for darker lavis) and Ogryn Flesh ones . both are brown lavis.
you can find also those colors :
Traka Green, Asurmen Blue, Baal Red, Leviathan Purple, Gryphonne Sepia.
Their use depends on your base color, but you can use to find great effect.
you may use those lavis pure or with water. For those 2 planes, i used firt ogryn on standard already painted planes then devlan to increase dark parts, then again ogryn to smooth effects.
In the UK these will be Citadel Ink washes.
John.
Nice work on the weathering. Another great way to weather models is with pastel chalk. You shave/sand a small amount off and then use a brush to brush it on to the model. It has a very subtle effect that you can slowly build up. Then just seal it with a mat clear and you are done.
