There were actually three other pilots but I wanted to spare your feeling just a bit. With the cracking Biff, and Triplane you built you have no need to feel envious( mine is still in the pre-build stage-thats it I'm going to tear it down and get it finished starting today).
That is just rubbing salt in the wound Greg. Telling me that there are three others. i t was mortifying enough to learn that the Col. shares his birthday with my hero Albert Ball without all this. Kind remarks about my Biff can't eradicate the pain of these disclosures. I am going out on a solo sortie now, and I may be some time!
From a disconsolate F.O. Kyte.

Just the one:-
Born 3rd May1896 – Karl Allmenroder, German World War I Flying ace (died 27th June 1917)
Flew with Jagdstaffels FA 227 & 11, was given permanent command of Jagdstaffel FA 11 from 17th July 1917, until his death 10 days later.. He amassed 30 victories, including New Zealand air ace, Captain Alan Scott, on 28 May 1917. (Scott survived being shot down. He died in 1922). He also shot down Canadian ace Flight Lieutenant Gerald Nash, who survived but was captured. He was repatriated 1919 and dird in 1976.
Allmenroder's Albatros DIII was painted red with a white nose and spinner and a white elevator. The under wings were two shades of blue.

Refreshing this:
10-AUG:
Georges Lachmann: French, only 9 victories, but served all over, and for the entire war : Western Front, Italian front, back to the Western front, to Russia for a year
(where he got most of his victories), back to Italy, to Russia, finally returning to france in Nov'18. Died in 1961.
Hartmuth Baldamus: German, 18 victories, 5 with FFA20 (recon unit), the rest with Jasta 9, the last being a mid-air collision with a neuport 17, which killed him
(I wonder if the french pilot got credit for him?) on 14-APR-17.
Hermann Frommherz: German, 32 victories, Started his flying with Kasta20 (tactical bombing) during the battle of Verdun, and the Somme, before going to Romania DEC'16, then Greece.
assigned to Jasta 2 in MAR'17, crashed in May, and was out until Mar-18 with injuries, and a stint as flight instructer. He got 30 of his
victories from Jun-18 til NOV-18 (including 6 Bristol Fighters), and succeeded Goring as commander of Jasta 27.
Post war, he kept active in aviation. Was sent to the secret flying center in Russia in 1925, and trained Chiang Kai-shek's fighter pilots in '31-32.
Joined the new Luftwaffe and commanded I/JG134 (later remade as JG142), SEP-38 to JAN-39, leading it in the takeover of Czechoslovakia.
Seems to have gone to Staff after that, though commanded Jagdfliegerführer Deutsche Bucht from 1-APR-42 to 30-SEP-42. Died in 1964.
