Yes indeed, those certainly are great pictures. Both the aircraft and card.
I must get onto my remaining two JU 88s asap.

This is my version of a Zvezda Ju88 from the Totenkopf unit flying missions in the Mediterranean Theatre. Model Master paints were used. RLM 65 was applied to the underside and base of RLM 71 darkgreen on the topside. I used Tamiya masking tape to create the splinter pattern and then applied RLM 70 Blackgreen. Taped it off again and used RLM 79 sand for the final splinter pattern. The topside squiggle patterns used RLM 65 and the underside used RLM 70. Decals are from Mehusla 1/144 Direct.
Lovely 88 there Dave!
Dave,
In honor of a wonderful paint job, I hope this is acceptable?
The colors are RGB-matched to historical paint chips, but I lightened the RLM 79 Sand, and lowered the opacity of the RLM 65 (Version 2) squiggles. if you'd like the colors adjusted, let me know, and a better overhead image, with flatter lighting, would help.
PS: This specific plane had a twin gun in a rear ventral position on the gondola, did it not? Should that firing arc be added in?
Draft Alternate Plane Card:
This plane might need a management card, too.

Excellent!
REP
And Mike, as usual, your cards need REP!
Thank you gentlemen, for the compliments and REP.
Yes Mike, there was a twin gun in the rear firing position. As to whether or not those cards are acceptable..The first words out of my mouth when I saw them were literally, "Wow! Those are beautiful." Thank you very much. You must be a huge Ju88 fan.

Well, you do great work with the photoshop.
As for the Do-17's, the more targets, the better!
So, I don't notice any of these planes in this thread, so did I waste my time producing a template for it?
1. Ju88 A-1/A-5?
A-1s used in the Polish Campaign, Battle of Norway and Battle of France.
Used in the Battle of Britain, but almost all converted to A-5s before the end of 1940-ish? Restricted rear dorsal firing arc in the single gunned A-1?
And for those with planes, and needing cards...
2. Ju88 A-4/A-5?
A few A-4s may have made it into the end of the Battle of Britain. A-4s were up-engined A-1s, but were delayed in production. A-5s were mods, some done in the field. Were the guns changed with the wings? Don't know.
3. Ju88 A-4/A5?
This is more commonly identified as the A-4, with the dual guns on the rear of the cockpit.
4. Ju88 C-6 Heavy Fighter
C-2s are possible Battle of Britain participants? Based on the A-1 with one 20 mm MG FF cannon and three 7.92 mm (.312 in) MG 17 machine guns placed in a new metal nose. These examples entered service in Zerstörerstaffel of KG 30 and the unit was renamed II./NJG 1.
Many Ju-88C's had their Bola gondolas modified to hold up to 3 forward firing machine guns or cannon. The rear gondola gun position being eliminated. So, is that 2 cannons and six MGs in the front arc?
5. Ju88 G-6b Night Fighter
Note the single gun on the rear of the cockpit on this version. Is this an error? Also, the lower gondola was removed entirely to improve performance. More guns to the front? Also, some Schräge Musik armed versions.
The end goal of requesting information is the updating of Plane and Management cards for the Ju88 (Yes, I'm gonna do Management cards for the Ju88s). I would think I need A-1/A-5s, if there were any models of them I wanted to build. Perhaps I will wait for ARES to put them out with the Battle of Britain sets they will release this year (If I'm dreaming, it might as well be in Techicolor).

Beautiful cards to go with Dave's Ju-88, Mike! Just splendid
I've got a couple of Zvezda Ju-88s to build - at least one is going to be converted to the G-6 nightfighter version, so feel free to make a card for that if you're playing on Photoshop...
And if you want to do something with Dorniers, I'd love a card to go with my Do-217 on that thread...
Your work is so wonderful and adds so much to opportunities for the game - thank you for all your work!!
All the best,
Matt
That is a great paint job - well done - love the JU-88
Never Knowingly Undergunned !!

Hvala.
All superb work.
I just looked at my post 51.
I really must get back to those two aircraft!

This particular plane is a pain. However...
OldGuy59's WWII Italian Bombers Album
There are too many versions and configurations, to say nothing of the great paint jobs representing even more units and crews...
