Thread: Italian WW2 planes I want to have in 1/200 Scale

  1. #1

Default Italian WW2 planes I want to have in 1/200 Scale

I want to have these planes in 1/200 scale. And the plane cards too.
I think that these are the most representative of the war.
If I forgot any, please do say so.
As soon as I can I'll post the places where we can find some of these.

Anyone know where I can get the plane cards for the Macchi C.200 and what deck they would use?
    Also the Fiat BR20 Bomber?
    Thanks.

Now I can start knocking up four maneuver decks for them.

I seem to recall a more recent Br.20 card using the XA deck and having some more elaborate fire arcs posted perhaps by Angillino in an old thread.
    Anybody have a link?

Did a search for Br20 and none of the links, posts in threads had a card attached.

    Hi Neil,

There was to be a BR.20 card in the cancelled Rain of Destruction boxed set, the card was released in a preview, image below:

    XA is right.

    Cheers,

You should be able to source some of those Aircraft from Armaments in Miniature, Quim!

Thanks with the extra info chaps, but I think I'll stick with Max's as it is already in existence and just change the deck to XA as it fits better with my SM 82 bombers for which I already have those cards.

Cheers Carl. Not too much difference. Hopefully Rob can get the card he needs from the choices above.

    Cheers,

    Carl.
Yes, that looks like the one I remember.
Guess the stats are at least semi official.

The hit points seem to be the same and if Max`s card is standard size and this one `Large Bomber` then the differences in length between decks probably even out.
So it looks like the only important difference is the firing arcs.

I modified Max's card to fit in with the Large Bomber size ones, so just need to change the firing arcs and Maneuver stat.

I`ve reworked the old prototype card to the Wings of Glory format and added a management card.

    Brilliant Robert.

Please will you get it transferred to the files section so that we can download it?

Ok, I`ve done a bit more modification to it and uploaded.
    It`s now in moderation.

The unofficial stats committee had the hit points as 26... but 25 is within margin of error.

    First draft was:
    G4M Betty - 26 (-5 for no self-sealing or armour = 21)
    G3M Nell - 23
    Wellington - 30
    Ju88 - 27
    Do17 - 23
    A-20 - 27
    Pe2 - 25
    Mosquito - 26
    Glenn Martin B-10 - 22
    Baltimore - 27
    Maryland - 23
    Whitley - 30
    Hampden - 24
    SB2 - 23
    IL4 - 25
    Br20 - 26
    SM79 - 28

    Thanks Robert.
I actually started painting it today, having just completed my Macchi C 200s.

Thank you Zoe for coming up with these stats.
They will also be of use for my Ju 88, Wellingtons, and Maryland. Any info perchance on Supermarine Walrus, and Short Sunderland flying boat.
