Thread: Where can I buy the rules in the UK?

  1. #1

Default Where can I buy the rules in the UK?

So far I have been using other peoples rules and accessories but I thought that I would invest in my own set.

My interent search has failed miserably with the only ones I can find being from the US at a rather expensive price

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I am looking for the WW1 set by the way

No luck here, checked all the usual and some obscure sellers in the UK none to be had.

Am I better going for the rules and accessories pack or one of the duel packs as I need planes as well?

Try these, though it's always worth ring to confim availability:

If you're just after the tokens (or parlez en francais), try here:

Thanks Simon - any thoughts on my query of rules pack v duel pack?

Think of the duel pack as wings of war lite. It would let you play the basic game but you'll soon want the full tokens/packs.

Saying that, you do get two planes slightly cheaper (depending on where you can find them), but seeing as WGF is no longer available as a deluxe pack (i.e. rules and planes) you'll still need to source some aircraft....

    Welcome to the addiction...

Wayland tend to take money if ordered on line whether they have it in stock or not, better phoning to make sure first.

Hi, I've got a WW1 set on route from Amazon UK but it's a very long delivery date (may not arrive until early April!) but good price and shipping if you're prepared to wait.

If you want WW2, Spirit games in Burton has the wings of glory deluxe set in stock, but I just bought his last WW2 RAP. Alas, I have succumbed to the darkside.

Dave, have a look at Miniature Market, US site, shows 3x WW1 rules and Accessory Pack
Also, Herr Oberst has them on the AA site, click the side bar or bottom banner advert, look in "Game Aids"

Although Herr Oberst is absent for a spell, he's typically got competitive prices and an excellent turnaround time.

I'm pretty sure I saw the WWI rules pack on Caliver Books' stand at York last Sunday, so it may be worth giving them a ring to see if they've still got one.

I tried their site and they weren't showing any on the site. Might have missed it though.

There are some WW I rules in our download files.

    See: http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/dow...hp?do=cat&id=5

You can also download the Wings of Glory rules directly from the Ares website.
