Two very valid points there Mike.
The lack of availability of models and rules at shows where there are no traders of such, and the foreknowledge of when aircraft will be available, are and have been the root causes of potential players walking away from our demo games in disappointment for years.
Your other point about generating interest in the game in hitherto untapped areas is also important.
Having done the round of shows for several years, we have tapped dry most of the interested stream of gamers, save a few new ones, and now need to spread our net wider. This would not only help our cause, but that of Wargaming in general. It was interesting at Birmingham Expo to hear how many younger visitors to our game said they had never been aware of such games being in existence before. You would think that with War Hammer rampant amongst the teenager set that most would have been exposed to Wargames in some form or another, but apparently not.
Let us spread the word about at shows outside our own comfort zones and reap the rewards.
Rob.
