The paper hangers are very fine Joaquim, but I am disappointed.
I thought you were going to show us some pictures of yourself having a punch up with some painters and decorators.

Why do you think I use already painted paper models, Rob?!
I had enough painting and decorating this past month with moving into a new flat.

With all that experience, will you be decorating the inside of the hangers yourself?

Good call Joaquim. I remember him saying that they were very dexterous with a paintbrush. They do ,however, employ some very strange paint schemes.

Better a strange paint scheme made by the elves than a nice yellow wall and a terrible pain in my shoulder, I always say...

Mission 3 of the campaign. Hide & Seek. I found this to be one of the most funny solo scenarios I ever played.

    Mission four: Young Hawks

The mission is taken from a OTT Final Months scenario and reproduced at the beginning of the war.

    What a spectacular outcome Joaquim.
I would never have expected that.
Your boys did you proud. Well done. I hope that I never meet them in combat.

You might, Mr. Flying Officer Kyte meet them one of these days.

Indeed. The first name I thought for this scenario before I played it was "Young blood and sacrifice", but then... there was no sacrifice for the rookies and I had to change it.

Second interlude uploaded. Experimental fighter and some medals.

Where an experimental plane gives our pilot a rough ride.

Even more nail biting excitement Quim.
I got so enthralled I was actually batting for your side before I realized it. What rotten luck with your guns though.
I have never seen so many naughts and ones come out at once. It's a good job the French guns kept jamming, otherwise you would have had a machine like a sieve.

1915. I will show you a picture of his first plane when I get time to find it in my files tomorrow.

    Lovely Rob!
    Absolutely lovely.
When this this bird entered service at the hands of F.O.Kyte?

Asking this for no reason at all...

It will make its first official flight along with Kyte's new Wingman at the first sortie in the new OTT early war campaign Quim.

Dear Rob, the first DH2 arrived to the frontlines in February 1916.
    Did your Kyte arrived earlier?
    Can you give me details?

  38. #38

    Default

Yes, but you will need to give me some time to engineer his back story earlier than this, as this is when he was created. I can tell you that his first Wingman was Frank (Digger) McKendrick from Geelong Australia, who was also the chap that first introduced him to Captain Triggers RNAS.

    Absolutely love it Quim.
Just about able to cope with it as the virus strikes both myself and Eileen this last week.
10 minutes typing and my arm feels as if it's falling off, so no real work going on I'm afraid, but reading your work is just what I need to keep me going. Could you please just unscrew the top off the next bottle of Gin for me old chap.
    Thanks most awfully, Rob.

Well what a turn up for the book. Talk about swings and roundabouts Quim.
To miss out on victory by such a slender margin.
    What a shame.
