Ill be bringing one or two models also which you will be more than welcome to use
I'll probably bring Shapeways and repaints sine I expect there will be more than enough "standard" models around. Happy for others to use them.
I'll also bring a couple of airships.
I'll have all the aircraft for the Pacific Games, the Zeppelin, a few WW1 planes but if you want to take part in the Hunt the Zeppelin bring a two seater along. (Paul I'll bring my two seaters so you can have a choice R504 or Taube?)
See you on the Dark Side......
I will have a solid box of my planes as well, especially some of those from the unknown front if you lads find an interest in strafing some infantry, horses, or bomb a railway station to greet a coming commissar...Wanna escort a Breguet in your Oeffag or shoot down the beast flying your Camel? There is a world of opportunities at Donnie

Thanks Lads , This means I get a chance to WoW and WGS with something different.

Greetings gents, just making our vacation plans and I am trying to make it so we (myself and soon to be wife) can drop in and shoot a few of you down. I just want to find out if this is a boys only weekend?
So, you could have one or two more Johnny Foreigners to ad to your list.
Peter
I'm really sorry chaps but I cannot attend the National Aerodrome gathering in Doncaster this year , the reason is I'll be on holiday in Florence as I've checked the dates, but I'll be linking up with Marco one of my Italian forum chums for some games of WGF at his local gaming store
No problems for your Good Lady to attend with you Peter. Mrs Kyte will be with me at least for the Friday night.
I believe we also have another lady coming along. Paul from Brittany and his wife will be there as well.
It will be superb to be able to meet you both. If I can be of any use to you on your trip please let me know.
Rob.

Thanks Rob, great news. Wasn't sure if this was a boys weekend so wanted to be sure. Deborah loves WGF and will really enjoy being part of this event.
My Deborah is a local girl, from Wales. I think she knows the area but I may tap you for some recon.
We're very excited about this trip. We originally were planning to come over next week (May) but the Imperial War Museum is closed for renovations till July so we put the trip off until the fall. Thanks goodness she has her priorities in order!
Peter
Great news, PeterI am looking forward to meet you!
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
Yes, it will be great to meet you too Andy, and all the other familiar names I've come to know. Hopefully I'll be able to safely pack a few planes to bring with us.
Great news Peter looking forward to a real International event now.
See you on the Dark Side......
Thats great Peter Nothing like true love to bring you to Doncaster on your European vacation.

I'm bringing my wife and daughters, so there should be plenty of table space, the ladies are far far deadlier than us poor males.
Hey ,the more the merrier :

Don't forget the RAF museum at Hendon in London Peter. http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/
I was going to do a beer run on the way in on Saturday, looks like might need to grab a couple of bottles of white wine (for the ladies) as well now, lol
Don't go too mad on our account, my daughters are too young, and my wife doesn't drink.
Sadly, she doesn't drive either.
Oh now that is an unworkable combination, you have my sympathies !
My Mary is a white wine fan Pity we cannot bring any over with us from Gods vineyard in France

Thought it might be nice to introduce the Southerners to some proper food with a little BP as snack attacks, the stotties will go for a bit of snap before flying to Spain. ;

Game ideas sent to Chris and Rob, for approval, by email.
See you on the Dark Side......
I re-read the thread... any update on the badges/patches? I definitely want in on this for both myself and Deborah. Also, any schedule set on the games? I will have limited ability to bring any planes with me but will do what I can.
Peter, Chris (Boney10) is organising possible badge options. I wouldn't worry about bringing aircraft as I am sure there will, I know there will, be sufficient from the UK members attending to cover your requirements. If you have anything specific in mind give me a PM and if I have it you can borrow it to use over the weekend.
Neil
See you on the Dark Side......
Thanks, using any planes supplied by the 'home team' will be great but if I can I would like to bring some of my own. I know Deborah will want to fly her Sopwith Dragon!
Thanks Neil.
I have your memo.
I will now wait to hear from Chris, and we can then firm up the programme for the weekend.
Rob.

Wow - if you can make a special guest appearance that would be amazing - hey can we now claim to be holding the FIRST EVER WINGS OF GLORY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP !!!
Also don't forget the Army Air Corp museum at Middle Wallop and the Tank Museum at Bovington
Ok chaps, a number of games are in the pipeline for the get together in Sept.
All these have so far come from organisers of the event plus the shows we have done.
Is there any member coming to the function want to put on a game themselves or are you happy for the weekend to be "organised" for you.
I think we have enough scenarios/ games for the weekend to keep us occupied , but of course it is a weekend for all so if you have a particular scenario or game you would like to play please let us know so we can accommodate.
Currently there are games planned for WW1 mini campaign, Zeppelin attack, WW1squaron v Jasta games, Taranto attack, BoB scenarios, a Chippy raid for WW1 , Pacific carrier attack.
A full programme will be published shortly, but if you have a particular game please let me know
I'd suggest a suite of pre-planned games and an option for one or two more "informal" off the cuff games
That's why we're asking anyone attending if they would like to host a game. We have spare tables and slots on both days.
See you on the Dark Side......
