I am assuming a few of you will be over at the museum Friday afto? Failing that, unless a local can recommend a nearby hostelry, a lot of us seem to be staying at the hotel up the road from the museum, so 7pm in the bar there?
being the token 'local' its as good a starting point as any - those who wish to get some practice in on the Friday evening - I will take down to a local gaming venue where we can stay and play as late as we like (not sure if there is an event licence next weekend - but we can stop off at ASDA and grab a few bottles to take along)

With luck and a following wind, Andrzej, Mrs K. and myself should fetch up at the Doncaster East Premier Inn in time for late afternoon tiffin on Friday.

Just checked the running order Neil.
if you could change table three seaplanes to a different slot it won't clash with me doing Taranto.

I'm lost now. There were only 2 games indicated for table 3: Chip Shop Raid and Jasta v Naval. Do we now have a game for slot 3?

Where did the seaplane game come from? Not on my list.

Apologies it is, scheduled for the 5-7pm slot.

Taranto should be clear, unless the slot has moved from 4 to 3?

    Neil

PS: You know when your tired, its when you start posting ****e!

    Apologies to one and all:
Seaplane game is slot 4 not 3 as I originally posted (couldn't even remember doing it...somebody shoot me on Saturday)

Johnny on the spot time - if anyone gets lost, needs help/ directions, want's to know what I am drinking etc.. my contact number is now officially classified (I will delete post after the weekend)
I have taken Friday off so will be around all day apart from 1.30 -3.30 in the afternoon when am on parental taxi duty. I have reserved us table space in the evening if we wish to fly a few sorties and can take one for the team and utilise Landrover for evening ferrying (well might reduce taxi numbers by one)

Looking forward to meeting friends old and new...

Permission to get jolly excited now please Wingco !

    Thanks for the update Chris.
We should arrive at the Museum about 4PM. to offload so that fits in fine.
You have my full permission to get slightly eager, moving up to enthusiastic by tomorrow evening.
Excited is a little un British don't you know what. It's not that it's wrong but we just don't do it.

Oh, could we bring some torches? Forgot Taranto was a night attack so we'll have to play with the lights off. The torches will only be used when the searchlights are on by the way, so anyone with a crate of NPG's would be helpful or we will just have to quaff loads of G&T to enhance night vision. (I hear it works better than carrots!)

Having only just emerged after driving bck from a gig in the early hours of the morning and doing the same thing from further afield tonight, it seems unlikely that I'll be awake in time to join you guys tomorrow. If it doesn't cause any problems I/we would like to drop up on Sunday though if that's OK?

Default Heads-up for those driving to the museum

Done a preliminary recce. We are in building 21. Because there are two other groups at the museum tomorrow, car park is going to be crowded, so we have been asked to either park on the grass outside bldg 21 or on the road outside. There should be someone on the gate directing, but if not you get to it by driving across the car park, turning right past the big hangar. 21 is then on the right.

Bad news - Shop has a lot to spend your money on, including paint and other modelling supplies.

Good news - the shop also sells Pot Noodle

For those at the Premier Inn Central East, it is less than 5 minutes walk to the museum.

Right Thomas safely delivered (notwithstanding the best efforts of east Coast Mainline to cock things up) - last reported to have made contact with the Wingco and others. Had a chat with Neil - he's all packed and ready for a dawn patrol. Alas John Biggles has arrived but due to the disaster that is the M1 on a Friday only arrived (avec caravan) after everyone at venue had left - so he is parking up in an out of the way place - where did I put my camo net? (can never find it).

See you in the morning chaps
