Interesting read. I have a book about the Spanish Civil War and the beginning of it. Very confusing to figure out who is who and what they are fighting for.
Yes and then it is a problem of what set of rules to use, you could get away with useing the WW1 for the 1st year of the war, but then you would have to change to the WW2 rules to reflect the more modern aircraft being used.
Great read. Its nice to understand how tactics were developed and changed and how lessons learned influenced later development.

A very concise intro into the Spanish air war Attilio. It is especially interesting to me, to discover some old hands from WWI involved, and also some of the pilots who will shine in the forthcoming war. Although aware of Galland and company participating in the Spanish conflict, I did not know the details until now. Thanks for the overview. Rob.
