Just what I needed!!
The light at the end of the tunnel has turned from a flickering candle to a big bonfire.
By the way.... Is that your personal elf, Keith. I can see that you know what makes him tick
Great news! That green italian flying boat looks fantastic, I must have it!
But as you wrote Flash. Sometimes life seems like an enginefire seen through the fuselage...
Look here guys for a closer look.
Nice to see the new planes will be heading towards the U.K soon. Looking forward to the Maachi's arriving, been a while since we've done an Italian front game at the club and these will be very welcome reinforcements
Good to hear from you Mark.
Yes I'm also looking forward to getting some action on the Italian Front again. It will be great to be flying with them instead of trying to shoot down their Cants and Macchi's over Malta.

Had a dispatch email from Keith getting excited about the planes arriving from over the pond! Italian flying boats and Hannover's on their way!!!!
God news Mark.
That means that we should have them in time for Triples then.
Rob.

That is good news. I'll start filling the bathtub so the Flying Boats have a place to touch down.
Huh -- forgotten the flying boat was a big son-of-a-buck.
That photograph is beginning to give me a sense of slight anticipation.

Woo hoo, just received my notification of postage - now the agonizing wait begins. Thanks once more Keith for the time and effort you put into supporting the hobby/passion/sickness
It looks likely to be another couple of weeks before they appear in UK shops.
Won't be long now because they are shipped
I'm getting them shipped out as fast as I can guys. I start packing order about 0430 every morning, head into work for a 10 hour day, then start packing more order from about 1830 to 2200 every night. I actually think my post office is getting a little upset with all the packages I've been dropping off for them to process! lol
You are welcome, and thank you for the order!
Having only had to handle a couple of dozen parcels at a time, with the Sweat shirt orders, and finding that time consuming once a year, I'm amazed at how you cope with all this so well Keith.
I don't even have a job to keep down and an active youngster making demands on me.
We don't always appreciate just how much of yourself goes into this "Hobby"!

I was hoping they'd be in the UK in time for Salute next weekend but that looks unlikely now. Exciting though that they are with us and this means we can start to speculate about the arrival of the long awaited Series three reprints. : )
I think IG have jumped the gun slightly, but retailers should have them Tuesday - the distributors work to a fixed routine for most new releases, including these - an email goes out Friday with new in stock items, and orders are shipped on the Monday. Expecting my stock Tuesday, and there'll doubtless be a few stockists at Salute.
Should be getting mine this week. Thanks for all the effort you put in to getting these out.
Picked up a Hannover CLIIIA and Nieuport 28 at a local store yesterday. Both are very nice, was surprised to see that the Hannover could immelman. Is this the first two seater that has that ability? Can't wait to get both in a game now
Thanks Zoe, I hate to admit it but I bought a Brisfit just hadn't used or looked at it yet . I really need to game some more
Ok, thank you.
The aircraft could be fitted with two downward firing machine guns for ground attack, but they were found to be of limited use due to the difficulty of aiming them. The J-Is were mainly used for army co–operation and low–level reconnaissance. They were also used for dropping ammunition and rations on isolated or cut–off outposts that could not be easily re-supplied by other means.
Seems that the 3 MG version had two-frontal machine guns that were pointed downwards for ground support.
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
That was one variant; a couple others just indicate 2 standard mountings forward.

Although my planes haven't arrived yet, my friend's have (he ordered all twelve) - and I have to say they are gorgeous! I saw them today at our monthly paint/movie day, and I'm so excited to get mine, as well as to get the others I didn't order from our local hobby shops here.
Awesome job, Ares and all concerned!
All the best,
Matt
I received my planes yesterday. I ordered an entire set and am glad I did. They are super. The pictures do not do them justice.
Jim
They're here! They're here! They're here!
Need I say more?
