Default Modelling the Valom Sopwith Pup

In case nobody else has found it yet, I found this on line tonight:

    http://z9.invisionfree.com/Classic_B...ts/ar/t542.htm

Looks an interesting kit. The Pup and the DVII are out now with an Albatros, an SE5a and a Nieuport to follow this month.

There's a thread or two around somewhere on the Valom kits. I know some of the fellows have been working on D.VII's. Don't think I'd seen a Pup built until now. I'll be looking into these sooner or later. Looking forward to the new releases from them especially.

The Pup, the SE5a and the Nieuport all fill a current gap in Wings of War/Glory production.
The DVII is handy but be aware that Wings of Glory are re-issuing it assembled and painted later this year.

Exactly. I wouldn't mind picking one or two up to do schemes that aren't going to be part of the next release, but since I don't recall an announcement on which would be released, I'd hate to do one up & find out it's a duplicate of a plane coming out...

I will be using this how to intently as I have not been able to fix the upper wings in all my attempts (and there have been many).

Very informative, my modelling skills are far inferior to his.

If I can get the kit together and painted up I will be happy; no rigging and adjusted ailerons for me.

I am not even going to put in the cockpit interior parts as they will be hidden by the pilot.

Good to know--I wish them luck in expanding their line, as I'm just not comfortable disassembling and repainting the official Ares minis. (Struts would be the stuff of psychotic episodes for me, though, unless there were some kind of jig to hold them and the wings in alignment.)

Actually 25 of them, if you type 'valom' into the search box!

Not all specifically dedicated, although I was surprised to see there acually are 8 or more that ARE...
