August 5th 1918.
A nice cloudy day,
To fly like a lark.
Soaring on high,
Baiting the Snark.

But today’s cloudy day,
was no walk in the park.
For the deadliest of bites,
has this elusive white Snark.

Attachment 102634
At last gliding high,
I’ve spotted the Mark.
Now the hunt does begin,
of the dastardly Snark
Attachment 102635
My talons unsheathed,
I descend to the Mark.
To rip, rend and tear,
that coward the Snark.
Attachment 102636
Among feathered mounds,
We danced near the dark.
My challenge roared loud.
but so too did His bark.
Attachment 102637
Wounded I was, but
ne’er dim but dark.
The future of that
black hearted Snark.
Attachment 102638
For once on his tail,
His fate could not part.
Nor rid me so easy, for
to earth fell the Snark.
Attachment 102639Attachment 102640
So battered and wounded,
To wend home like the Larks.
Happy at last, for this
Was the last of all Snarks.
The Butchers Bill:
Attachment 102641
Herr Goering, wounded, shot down 16 damage (+1 hit should have been on the 2 damage not on both 1's).
Rolled 3-1 (wounded)+2 (ace)= 4 serious wound. rolled 6. Miss 6 scenarios (adios until campaign end mein freund).
Attachment 102651
The Hunter 8 damage. RTB. 1 Snark.
SUMMARY:
This was the second scenario (unofficial) to have a go at Goering. Rolling off for bouncing he rolled 2+1(ace)=3 I rolled 4+1 (ace) = 5 he was bounced. Rolled direction came in from the left. I over shot after my first long shot and got pummeled, chasing after Goering I though he was going to get off the mat bottom right edge but did 2 left sharp turns and re-entered the combat. Chasing round a cloud I managed to get on his rear (top left bit of mat) and shot him down. Parachuting into trees did not help his situation, although he was behind friendly lines. So Herr Goering has a broken Hip and is out of action for 6 missions and his all white DVII is damaged beyond repair.
