Good to see the wives back in action Andy.
Hopefully this time next year we can add another wife into the photos!

Yes, here we go with another season of Friday Gaming with wives!
Last Friday we invited Arek and his wife Ilona whom we are going to spend this year summer holidays in Croatia with to have a WGF game together and to test my new gaming table I had been given by Arek as a B-Day gift .

My plan was to give our wives the edge: they were to pilot A firing Hanriots against us - Austro-Hungarian ones flying B firing Aviatiks. Moreover, the Wives took on us right from the sun . We could barely seen them on our six!
    Lovely!

Arek and me tried to make evasive actions at once!

Arghhhh! In vain! Arek had been hit hard and his plane turned into a torch! My plane is just a card for a while

Ufff...out of their guns for a while...

A riddle... how to take on the hubbies?

    Planning...

Bad news! Arek, partly consumed by fire is finally down. First victory goes to my wife!

Their joy did not last long, for I avanged my wingman downing Ilona, ripping her Hanriot's canvas in a swift pass! First A-H kill goes to me.

The Austro-Hungarians cheered the first victory on the spot!

That was my day. After some smart maneuvers I scored the second kill. My wife is down.

    Now the bills:

Arek, my wingman: down, no kills.

Ilona, the Italian, down, no kills.

Edyta, the Italian, down, 1 kill.

Well, and the last pilot flying, Nightbomber, blowing his own trumpet, 2 kills!

Fun, had by all! The table is awesome, tested and approved.

Be glad you guys ain't WWII pilot Louis Curdes... the only thing that saved his girlfriend from a fate worse than death was him shooting her plane down. (He shot out the engines, forcing the pilot to ditch... got both a DFC and a wedding ring out of it.)

Curdes's Mustang, "Bad Angel" is on display at Pima and I've suggested Ares consider it as a reprint candidate.

    Thumbs up

That was actually "A Close Run Thing" Andy as you did not have many damage points left.
Looked like a great night & some nice drinks noticeable on the table!
What may I ask is Blue Barrel ? Scotch or Burbon?

    Good question, Baz.
Highly recommended beverage.. "The label says: Premium BLUE BARREL. Genuine handcrafted American Whiskey Special Reserve. Matured a minimum of 3 years for superior taste and smoothness, you;re sure to enjoy its mellow richness."
It is our latest discovery. Not overpriced, very, very smoth and tasty!

    Great game Andy.
It looked as if you all had a fantastic evening.

That is an incredible story DB. If they made a film out of it no one who was not in the know would believe it for a second.
What made me laugh was the Stars and Stripes on the side of his Mustang along with all his other victories.
