[Note: For these events, it's best to remove Explosion cards.]

_Balloon Bash_: Each side has a Balloon mini/card. Each side's Balloon is located in the center of that team's side of the field, with the rear of the Balloon aligned with the edge of the field.

Object of the game: Each side must shoot down the other side's Balloon, then move the plane which shot the balloon down off their edge of the field without losing either their own side's Balloon or the acft. which shot down the opposing side's Balloon. Whichever player's shot inflicts the damage which finishes off the balloon is considered the one which shot the balloon down; mark that plane in some manner, so the other side knows which acft. it needs to destroy. If the acft. in question leaves the field via a side other than its own, the acft. is considered destroyed, and both "respawn".

"Respawning": A Balloon returns to the field with full hit points whenever the acft. which destroyed it is itself destroyed. An acft. may return to the field with full hit points via its "home" edge at the beginning of the turn following its being destroyed.

_Tag-Team Air Combat_: This can be done with any number of teams, of any size (tho' for practical reasons, 2-4 per team is best).

Each team selects an edge of the field (or part of one, for large numbers of teams). On the first turn, each team enters one, and only one, acft. If an acft. is badly damaged, it may attempt to retreat off its "home" edge; if it succeeds in doing so, as soon as that acft. is fully off the field, one of the other acft. of that team must enter the field immediately. While off-field, a damage acft. can "heal" by removing its lowest-value damage card once per turn (a damage card with a critical hit "outranks" one of the same value without).

Object of the game: If a team's active acft. is destroyed, that team is eliminated. Last team standing wins.

(Optional: If an enemy acft. is within firing range of a team's "home" edge, that team may elect to fire with any or all acft. which are off-field; however, the targetted acft. may shoot back at the same range increment as the firer.)
