Thread: Photo Recon at Arena das Peças!

Default Photo Recon at Arena das Peças!

    Hello.

I organize a event in the city I'm living now (João Pessoa - Brazil) and last event I took my planes to another mission:

Japanese must do a photo recon of strategic target and come back.

    Usa - 2 P-40 and 1 F4F-4 Wildcat.

    Japan - 2 Zeroes and 1 Ki 61 (BBB).

    Zeroes have gun cameras.

Pictures Taken of different target cards: 10 points (Japan) each. Planes must come back with pictures to receive points!

Each target card "defended" (no pictures taken) : 5 points to USA.

    Planes destroyed: - 10 points

Planes damaged (with a half or less hit points): -5

Taking positions. (There are a P-40 and a Ki-61 missing in this pic.)

One of Zeroes is destroyed by first P-40 shootting.

The another P-40 and the Ki-61 also shoot each other, but without major damage.

The Wildcat is pursuing the Ki-61. The another P-40 is pursuing the surviving Zero too (not in this picture). K-61 and Camoed P-40 shoot each other again

Ki-61 shoots down the camoed P-40, but he doesn't see the Wildcat at his tail

    ]

The Wildcat take his first kill, but shamefully he LEAVES THE COMBAT AREA!!!

Meanwhile the surviving Zero keeps dodging the another P-40 and takes 2 pictures of strategic targets. Then he comes back to command center.

    Result:

USA: -15 Points [2 planes shot down (-20), 1 target card defended (5)]

    Japan: -5 Points [2 Planes shot down (-20), 1 damaged (-5), 2 Pictures taken (20)]

I'm sorry for my poor English.

    Tiago,

When was Arena das Peças ? Is it a monthly event, like Castelo das peças ?

    Nice photos, by the way

Congratulations on a great AAr. Tiago.
Your English is fine bye the way. Far better than some of the children I have taught who had it as their native tongue.
    Rob.

    Thumbs up

    Thanks Taigo!
Did you play solo or did you have other players controlling the planes. Nice scenario by the way.

Cheers Tiago, nice aar and nice photos. I liked the scenario setting, very interesting. Your English is fine, even I have trouble with it sometimes, usually when I've had a bit to drink

    Nice AAR, Tiago.

The Wildcat is a FM-1 (B/BB) from the deluxe set not a F4F-4. (...and I think it has lost a propeller blade. )

The Japs get the same points for a shot down enemy plane like a taken picture? Nice. Did you use a turn limit to take the pictures?

(I use plastic cups to store the damage counters)

I used a FM-1 miniature, but I've used a F4f-4 stand and card (you can see it in one of the pictures above).

Japs to score points from pictures, but must return to base first to score these points.

In this game, I think the japanese just won because the Wildcat had left from the combat area. Shamefully, I was the F4F-4 pilot!!! Only I and another player (first killed zero) were "veteran player".

I forgot to answer these questions.

I didn't use a turn limit to take pictures. It is a great idea! Next time I will use it!

I always plastic cups to store the damage counters, but this time I forgot them.
