Silly question: Does anyone make WW1 acft. models out of cardstock, a la _Pirates of the Spanish Main_?

I've never actually built one, but I've been signed up to Fiddlers Green for a while now. I believe they have some SPADs and Fokker's available. Like I said I've never tried it, but I'd love to give it a shot.
There is a whole section of this very site dedicated to them.
Take a look at some of my AAR's to see some in action.
No, nothing like the pirate of the main. if I'm thinking what you meant.
I think Chris is talking about the thin foamcore ships Wizkids did
If so, I think the answer is 'no'
Might not be that bad of an idea, they would be great for the under "10 & below" groups, I.E. CUBBIES!
Some 2.5D WW II models here: http://www.geocities.jp/old7type/hanger2.html
A Fokker Dr.1 and also some WW II models here: http://www.paper-model-airplane.com/model-downloads
Junior General has 2D WW I planes: http://www.juniorgeneral.org/index.p...t/early20th#44
The CUBBIES have a desire to finger, roll, bend anything in their hands.
Consequently, the cardstock will need to be reinforced with: superglue, clear spray, etc.
Even then, I doubt that cardstock models will be able to withstand the abuse from the CUBBIES.
Let us know how this project works out.

There is a thread on PaperModelers.com about hardening paper models:

http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/sho...epaint-Project shows something similar to what I'm thinking of here -- an undecorated cardstock model, with stickers for various paint schemes (I'm hopeless with paint).
Fiddlers Green has undecorated (white) models of WW I planes.
Try it and let us know how it works out.
