This is my entry for the Manfred von Richthofen Tribute (painting contest).
Fortunately I had some Reviresco Decals for German early war planes and a Fokker E.III that doesn't hurt if I repaint it.
It was clear for me, that I have to rig this beast. After some thoughts (Strings? Plastik fiber?) I decided to use thin steel wire.
A damn work and when I see how good riggings jobs are in the painting showcase I really have respect for the filigree work some gamers did with their models.
I try to add a few details: Pilot googles, a muffler (fixed with claer finish), instruments in the cockpit, etc...
I drilled holes in the wings to fix the steel wire.
This was the rough template I used for my repaint: Manfred von Richthofen's Fokker E.III, Kampfstaffel 8 June 1916:
