Prices for the planes are cheap -- shipping costs are a complete and utter bastard.

Its because ebay, or the seller, has chosen the expensive shipping service. I use first class international all the time and its cheap, and reliable. I am sure there is a option at least 1/4th the price of that, seeing as the items, and you are in USA.

As an ebay seller I often sense that shipping puts people off buying. So all my listings try and focus on explaining how to get cheapest shipping. I think this seller needs to do this!

I am sure anyone interested in his items could ask for a cheaper option. check out usps.com and you can research the rates available.

Well I went on and bought 2 Betty's. I think this will be my last for a bit as I am getting shipments almost daily. Today just received a Lancaster (another on the way).
