Thread: RFC colour schemes

  1. #1

    Default RFC colour schemes

    I picked up a couple of Revell 1/72 WW1 planes the other day (just for display, at £3 each I couldn't resist), and I thought you repainters might be interested in the colour guides (all Revell paint numbers). The Camel is finished in the greenish shade of PC10, while the SE5a is the browner shade.

    SOPWITH CAMEL: Wings and body upper = Nato Olive (matt 46)
    Underside = 66% Africa Brown (matt 17)
    +34% White (matt 5)
    Wooden part around cockpit=Wood Brown (silk-matt 382)

    SE5a : Underside as above, rest of plane Leather Brown (matt 84)

    You should have picked some German Fighters as well...

    Like this one I placed at my home

    Too bad the photo is so blurry. It's a 1/48 Dreidecker in Lothar von Richthofen's colours.
