Thread: Tanks! Alot!

  1. #1

    Default Tanks! Alot!

The elves are going to extremes! Caught them copying off all kinds of things . . . from super light to super heavy! Zeppelin sky and scorched earth . . .

Started with a bit of fun on the copier . . . very cuite at 1 1/8" long - you can get a lot of them on a full sheet of sticker paper, 9 to be exact.

Then the elves get going . . .

    and going . . .

Balsa cores wrapped in tank stickers, what will they come up with next? Now if I can get TimeLapse's elves to base them . . .

    Clipper?

Pictures of the balsa cores? Or is that an Elves' secret to mass production?

Good God... It's Replicator Tank Attack

    Are they 1:144?

Yikes! I made them to a ground scale of "o, it looks great at 1.25" long" = a ground scale which is really 1/265 if you take the tank length to be 27.6 feet. They just look cool about that size. 1/144 scale would be 2.3" long, a bit too big to be cuite IMHO. Will post the balsa & sticker info later . . . Clipper adding "male sticky out bits"

David your elves are fantastic as they keep churning out amazing miniatures like these and the Zeppelin on a regular basis, it's always a pleasure to see what they'll make next.

The seemingly endless tanks remind me of the Wizard's Apprentice.

The elves have tipped their toes into the ocean, but its looking like Ares has a rather closed design shop so far, the models are highly dedicated to their bases. Still . . .

From discussion, it would seem that the models are removable from the bases, so...

I think someone has to much time on his hands. Great models. I can't wait to see the infantry.
