Default Official Bristol M.1C Painting Thread

I've just finished my latest batch of three Shapeways scouts. First up is the Bristol M.1C, painted in the scheme worn by tha aircrfat in the Shuttleworth Collection. This is, I think, a lovely looking little plane.

Very smart Dave. Nice change in colour scheme.
How do they shape up in combat vs the Morane?

Like an SE5a does to a Fokker E.III.

Had it had two guns, it would have been a contender even in early 1918. The problem was the high landing speed - they really did have too many crashes until the pilots got the hang of them. But by that time, the decision not to proceed had been made.

It was a bit flimsier than other scouts coming out then too, IIRC. Not gretaly, but a maybe enough, along with official dislike of monos.

Well here is my effort to improve the profile of the M.1C.
