Glad you got it started Nigel. It may encourage more people to post their planes.

Both color schemes are very detailed and awesome.
Pretty fantastic paintwork! Cool plane as well; glad to see someone is putting them on the table.
Oh yes, nice work everyone, here's mine from Jasta 35.
I think the D.XII is such a great looking plane I just had to have some.
Jasta 23 to follow (when I get my long awaited laser printer and can make decals again).
Ian
Yes. They are indeed beauties Ian.
Lazer printer eh! I bet that bit into your model budget a bit.
Rob.
Thanks Rob. Good fortune has been on my side. A friend who owns a company has just updated his offices and rents his laser printer now so the old one isn't wanted. I've generously offered to take it off his hands. I think the toner may be expensive but should last a while as I only want it for decals. Hopefully I'll pick it up soon, I've got new models that need decals made and already started designing some four colour lozenge in anticipation.

Another nice paint job Matthias,
I can't even see the joins where you slotted the wing decals around the struts.
Rob.
You just have to paint the wings in the dominate lozenge color (dark blue for the upper wings and ocre for the lower wings) and take a lot of time to cut out the decals.
Matthias
Great close ups too.
Got to be wort some rep.

Nice Pfalz P-G. I wish the photos were larger.
Super Pfalz XII Per-Gunnar!
Thanks for the pictures!
Excellent work all round. Thanks, Per-Gunner for posting so I could see the whole thread.
Nicely done, sir!
I know
I have put it in one of my albums
Thanks Tim and Alex
Now should l buy a couple of Pfalz DXIIs from Shapeways, to go with all the others? Mmmmmm
I don't know how easy it would be from the modeler's end, but if people posting to painting threads could put up a small patch of their decal sheet, I could match the colors better.
Check this thread for a quick overview of how I do lozenge camo on the plane cards: German Five Color Top Lozenge Camouflage
I download a copy of your posted picture, and attempt to match the color by sampling. Consider that the original lighting for the picture was not good, the camera not calibrated, the image handling application not accurate, and then the whole post-to-the-forum process and my computer on the download, and we might get any color on the plane card.
Just a thought.
