I'll take two in Large size!
A must have for when I go to Origins.
Thanks guys. I'll be going back to the T-shirt shop towards the end of the week to get the final numbers.
Oh, and Ares is going to have a booth at Origins this year! That means direct support and some place to send our players to when they ask about game components. I hope to have a list of Ares employees that will make the trip sometime this week.
Will the Origins T's also be in several colors? Prepping an order for the Aerodrome T's and just wondering if the color range will be similar? Looking forward to the event/s...35 hours!
Yep, the Origins version will be available in the same colors.
So, did anyone sign up to run games? I had the best of intents, but didn't want to schedule my game on top of someone else's. Was hoping to run them in coordination with one of y'all (perhaps the Ohio bunch). However... there was no way to see what games were alredy scheduled, and nobody posted their event schedules here. Oh, and I'm still unemployed, so planning a trip for June is a bit problematic.
I would really like to meet more of you fine folk in person, as well as show off some of my collection.

Throughout WWI, one of the vital roles that aircraft played was photo reconnaissance. Clear photos of the enemy's side of the lines could save thousands of lives on the ground during the assault. In this mission both sides are trying to photograph the area in advance of a large land engagement as well as deny the enemy access to the same information. Players can choose to fly the recon plane or one of the scout aircraft assigned to protect it and engage any other enemy aircraft.

I'm still finding my way around the forum; I will certainly be at Origins. I will make a point of getting into a game or two with this crowd.
Maybe I can dragoon my wife and/or son into flying, too.
See you then
Sponsored by Aerodrome Accessories and maybe, hopefully, Ares as well!
Would love to go... just not sure how to swing it.
All sorts of inherent dangers...
Too far to drive... feh. So, by plane...
Must. Find. Way.
Wow, the scenarios for Origins sound awesome. Wish I lived closer.
Rob
Just a ten hour and eleven minute drive from Hartford to Columbus. Click here and get directions to Columbus, OH. Its only 662 miles. Hope you can make it.
Thomas
CappyTom or Ken, I need to register for Origins. Please send me the info I need for myself (Bob) and TrenchWench (Beth) to get registered through the group.
Cappy just saw this from Bob so can you let me know what to do. Haven't been to ORIGINS so not sure what to do.
In discussions with the commander in chief to see if she'll let me go to Origins for a day trip
They have not put up the full lest of events or the prices for them yet, but you will most likely want to purchase a HOT ribbon. It's $20 and will let you play in any historical game. Once they do have the events online and the registration (also on the Origins site) goes live, you will be able to register, pay for your badge (don't do this until we have the club's code to give you for the discount!) and sign up (you get event tickets) for any events you want to play in.
At the time of the game, here is how seating priority works in case there are more players then there are slots for the game:
Ticket holders
HOT ribbons
Generic tokens
Hope that helps, but a lot will be come more clear after everything goes live on the Origins site.
Glad the question was asked and answered. For us first-timers, such info is valuable. Thanks.
Can't wait to get to Origins!!!
and getting those shirts!
w00t!!!
I am putting in for vacation for Origins and I'll have a drink with Thomas and Kenneth since my birthday is the 16th of June.
Woo hoo. It looks like work has approved my vacation to Origins. Now putting in for Historicon in July.

I just booked my room for Origins. Beth (Trench Wench) and I are looking forward to meeting everyone. Plans are to leave Tuesday night and arrive Wednesday AM and staying till Sunday...can't wait.
Did we ever get word back about getting a discount on the ticket because of the group?
I think Ken said they approved our schedule a while ago.
Events have not been officially approved... but by now no news is GOOD news...
Tom is right about needing to get the discount code... hopefully we will have all that info soon. It is a process.
Exhibitor Badge Info was sent out this week. I've also heard commercials on one of the local radio stations!
I paid for Origins today and used a coupon for another group I belong to. I'm just glad it finally took it since the coupon was causing problems.
How do I order a shirt for Origins? I went to the store and only saw the Dr 1 shirt. Am I missing it somewhere? I want 1 xl.

The approved schedule is in the first post of this thread. We will also be doing our annual trip to the National Museum of the Air Force on that Sunday.
My wife and I just registered and signed up for some WGF and a SoG event. Looking forward to meeting you folks and playing some games together.
What's the plans for the banquet? Was there an outing to a museum?
The final plans for the banquet are being worked out... it will take place at the 94th Aerosquadron near the Columbus Airport on Friday evening.... And a trip to the USAF Museum is planned for Sunday.
Registration is still open at this point... One of the nine Sails of Glory Events has sold out and two more are close to doing so as well. (As expected ) pre-sales for the WGF and WGS events are better this year early than they were last year early! ALL GOOD OMENS!
