Glad to be of help.

On a Spanish Civil War version the ventral gunner's 'dustbin' must get in the way of the mounting peg.
Those are all great looking nice job everyone
Cartas!
These are excellent!
You have certainly made a very good job of those Cartas.
Well done.

Just saw this and you did a great job on those.

All,
I've read somewhere that the SCW version of the Ju-52 had a "dustbin" ventral turret? Where was it in the fuselage? What gun(s)? How common was it?
For units, what names/numbers where there, or do you want?

Mike:
Spanish Civil War:
The Condor Legion, upon establishment, consisted of the Kampfgruppe 88, with three squadrons of Ju 52 bombers and the Jagdgruppe 88 with three squadrons of Heinkel He 51 fighters. Later models were incorporated in the legion.
As for the dustbin it had a mg 42 that fired 180ŗ to the rear and down.

Does the gunner sit in a 'bucket seat', then?
See you on the Dark Side......
He wasn't even sit. He was standing...
The 'bucket' will make it hard to mount a Ju.52 bomber on altitude pegs, unless a very long peg is fitted to the underside of the bomber.

Another draft, working on the firing arcs.

This color scheme should only have the dorsal and ventral arcs, based on what images I can find. Comments?

Excellent!!
Is there a source for the lateral firing arcs 1 & 2 because I would have thought that they would be wider? Maybe 60 degrees each?

@OldGuy59
Great!
Aren't you planning some "winter" camo? I have one non-painted Ju52 model waiting for some winter inspiration...

Crazy individual that I am, I want to do all the above planes, which includes two winter camos.
One of my Li-2s (WWII Allied Transport Plane Album) was done in the improvised white over-paint like this one (Official Lisunov Li-2 (1-200) Painting Thread), and that technique will work well for Carl's plane above. The green spot plane is an easy possibility, too.
The desert camo should be done for variety, too.
I have almost completed Joaquin's SCW scheme, but am having problems matching color and design. Almost there.

And I have a three color jig-saw puzzle pattern I really want to try, but that's really off the deep end, cause no-one will paint it on this forum (unless they are crazier than I am).

(This photo is good enough to "cut&paste" directly into a card, and actually look good?)
Reining in the insanity, I will complete the SCW job, and additionally do one winter and the desert camo. That will be five sets, as there are management cards to come, as well. Crew position suggestions?

Mike,
I saw that one of Czech Wing members (probably Michal, but Dan-Sam should know who exactly) showed me that painted Ju 52 Zvezda model!

Mike, you're going very well.
I warmly thank you for your efforts.

Sorry, but squirrels got in the way of this project (PMs for custom cards and the "General Overview of Mini's - WWI"). Besides, I was hoping someone would tell me how many crew were in this plane, as I can't find anything that definitively says the actual number. The best I've found is 3 (pilot, co-pilot, radioman). How many gunners? Which models/versions had waist guns, and did they have a gunner for each gun?
I just don't know, guys. Management cards are not possible without some assistance.

Nice job Kevin.

Excellent job! Thanks.
very nice!
So, after a very long delay, I have taken up this project, again.
I haven't found any new info on the crew positions of the Ju-52, so I'm just gonna start guessing. This is my guess for the Spanish Civil War version. Ares doesn't put all the crew positions on, if they weren't critical to fighting the plane. I don't completely agree, as there were many cross-trained individuals on a bomber. However, if we want cards for planes, I have to try to stick to Ares plan. Here is the management card for the 3m g4e:
Oh. Did I mention that I finally bought a WGS bomber? I now have an He-111 H-3 as a template, along with the rules! So, now I will be going through all the cards I've produced, and fixing them. Wish me luck.
[Edit: Redid the card, after trying to do the next few versions, with more gunners.]

First thanks for the rapid response Mike.
Second, thanks for the Med and N Africa versions. That should cover all eventualities out there.

Great job Mike. Any chance of the gun arcs for Med/Africa?

See you on the Dark Side......
Redone Management version of the Balkans plane above:
Background of a town north of Bucharest, courtesy of Google Earth.
PS: I messed up the versions. The 3m g4e didn't have waist guns. So, the management card doesn't indicate them. The above Firing Arc card will be appropriately amended, soon.
And one for Joaquim, at long last. I hope I was close on the unit:
[EDIT: Background redone with Belgorod, near Kursk, Russia. Courtesy of Google Earth]
And a winter version of the same plane:

What a great collection of Ju52s on this thread! I tip my hat to all of you!!!
So, Rob...
What unit were these planes from, and where did you find the colour scheme? I can't find anything online that comes close to this.
The best I can find is:
G6+ KGrzbV.2; 101, 102, 103, 104+105 (2nd, 101st, 102nd, 103rd, 104th+105th Special Duties Battle Group), TG 4 (4th Transport Group), 1st Air Transport Group (Maritime)
R = 7th Squadron (a white letter to the left)
So, I can't seem to sort out what would go on a card, nor where this plane might have been located. Trepani, Sicily was an airfield that some Bf-110s were photographed at, but not Ju-52s, so it could have been a visitor.
One of my new sources of info: The Luftwaffe, 1933-45
PS: My best guess:
[Edit: Added the propellers. D'oh!]
