It will be interesting to compare these with the official releases and see how the difference in scale effects the detail.
Rob.
personally I am much in favour of having props than not - even if they are still. Preferable for me (at any rate) to have still props than cutting plastic circles for props. BTW Peter, your first pix appears to be missing a prop in any case (so I am a bit confused by it all)
Very nice models Peter
Those maintenance elves must have gotten straight to work getting the engine up and running!

All these Beaufighters are simply magnificent chaps.
Thanks for posting them.
Rob.
Well done to both of you.
Great work on those planes and have to see a comparison with the Ares ones as asked.
Peter
My order of 144 scale Beaufighter`s has arrived. I will keep one a Mk X and backdate two for SWPA use. The detail is incredible and is superior to most 144 scale injection molded kits!
Rich
Great work Thomas. This one looks so good I am surprised Ares didn't make a desert camouflaged Beau as an official release.
Superb Thomas.
Just when I thought I had finished buying Beaufighters.
Rob.
Super jobs there from both Thomas & Richard.
I am glad that you decided to post these Richard.
I'm about to order my third Beau today, and it has given me another option for paint schemes.

A general question before I buy chaps.
Which of the Ares Beaufighters do yo think it would be the easiest to overpaint for Desert use?
Thanks.
Rob.
Thanks Thomas.
As I already have one of those, I can save some cash as well.
Rob.
Just like me then Thomas.
I could not see much use for a night fighter.
I will probably get another green/brown just to get a pairing.
I will go solo in the Desert.
Rob.
I hadn't thought about repaint of a Beau. Seeing these and how nice they are I better do at least one. Nicely done to all of you
Nice repaint Rob!! A desert Beau looks so good I'm surprised Ares didn't release one...
Rob
Welcome to the Beaufighter Club! Nice repaint!

That is just a drink for all the other members! The initiation rights are specific, one successful anti shipping raid.Beaufighter 1 ship 0. One witness hopefully sober is required! Two none sober witnesses may be substituted. Lack of any qualifying witnesses may be substituted by photographic images. Photographer need not be sober but that of course does helps!

I never had a doubt to your worthiness for, our small and elite club.

Nice repaint job. You folks that do the repaints are a special breed. You make it look so easy.
and when they overfly you
Note the strange feature of the desert one. I found out that this specimen came from a batch of production that started fighting in northern Europe. Then she was ferried to Africa. Generally, the Beaus would maintain the lower scheme in duck egg blue. However, she put up with an accident that damaged her tail. and the maintenance guys replaced it with the tail of another Beau that had been camouflaged with desert scheme. That's why it is so particular.

Outstanding work, Cisco! Very impressive work and attention to detail!
Those Beaus certainly look very good to me Cisco.
I was glad they are on our side when they overflew me.
That reminds me, now I have some Axis ships, I must get that mission flown.

I am sure they will get their point across, whatever the target!
Rich
Nice take on Fletcher's bird Cisco.
Where on earth did you manage to get the off white ? decal?
