    So that was yours Sven.
A very nice job, and one which gave me a lot of trouble when I voted. Superb Cammo and nose job.
    Well done that man.

Here is my night fighter Hurricane, an 87 Squadron machine piloted by Ian Gleed. It is an HBM model with Shed decals

Edit: since gone back to the paint shop to have the smudge of red painted over - didn't see it until I uploaded the pic

That is also a very nice rendering Steve.
The finish on it is superb and the cockpit glass looks transparent.

Thanks Guys. I've got a dozen more (Nexus, AIM) to paint up for the Battle of Britain, plus a cannon-armed HBM model that I haven't made my mind up what to do with yet.

Good work on the Hurris Wayne.

    Which unit do they represent?

They're as close as I can get them to No.232 sqn RAF in Singapore and Sumatra. I found it hard to get photos to work from though.

When I posted the last comment here in April, I never expected to be exibiting my first repaint in WWII by June if ever.
Just shows the effect that this thread has had on me.
Here is my attempt to portray WL McKnight's Hurricane of 242 Sq. Dec 1940.
This started off as Van den Hove's aircraft, as they were the only ones still available until the Herr Oberst came to my rescue with a Douglas Bader.

So it's true! Rob has really gone over to the dark side! Eek! How are the cookies? Nice crates by the way . . . the elves almost voted you off the island but who would buy the G & T in the mess I said, they withdrew their votes . . .

    Yes Dave.
It was all Stormkahn's fault. He has been supplying me with WWII sorties for a month or two, and said whatever I did not to buy in to the system, as he could provide all my needs. Well you know what it is like when you keep being given sweeties one at a time. You just have to go out and get yourself a bag full.

That russian Hurricane was just screaming for a repaint. I wanted to give that belgian Hurricane another one so they could fly together. Painted in dark earth (Valejo) and RAF dark green (Tamiya). Decals are Shed. The roundels are a bit wrong and seem to be rather WWI than WWII but they serve there purpose. The H on the underside was painted as i didn't have black letter that size laying around. Underside normally should have been silver but decided to paint it just like the WOW miniature. The nose cone was left white to have a larger difference between the two.

My four AIR200 Hurricanes I. Painted as Sea Hurricanes for my Med and Malta campaign.

This was a difficult labor... But I finally finished them and they're acceptable... Kind of...
The cast was very ugly. But they're Hurricanes and I have a soft spot for them.

Along with the Schwarm of Bf-109s I was re-decaling, I managed to waste an entire decal sheet trying to get a decent colour match out of my printer. This is my version of No.1 Squadron RCAF, ready to take on JG's 26 and 53:

The decals suffered from going a little transparent when wet, so the colors underneath are showing through slightly. The edges of the decals are not finished with sealer as I trim them into the color, to get the match to the camo and not have white borders. So, the sealer lifts and the ink bleeds onto the cotton swab I use to press the decals down. Not so bad looking in these photos, but YO-H's starboard side is a mess. I will have to go find some paint to patch it up, as well as a few other touch-ups.

    Testors.

Check this thread for how much fun I have with this stuff: Testors Decal Sheets - Having a Problem with Color Shift

I went through yet another decal sheet, as I mention above, but I think I have the profile down, finally. I went through Adobe Illustrator guides, online guides, Epson printer guides, as well as the decal directions, and did about twenty copies of useless decals trying out the settings. I even tried using glossy and matte photo paper to check the colors and quality (which were usually excellent), but the color shifts or beading of the ink on the decal sheets kept happening.

The decal directions say to print in normal mode ("regular printing" not photo settings). The colors come out nearly right, but the quality of print was abysmal. I tried matching the Adobe RGB (1998) Workspace to the Epson printer settings to keep the two machines working together, but it didn't work for color or quality.

I finally got these settings to work:

    Inside Photoshop:
Color Management: Adobe RGB (1998); Perceptual

    Printer Settings:
Turn Off High Speed, Grey Scale, and Edge Smoothing

Click on Color Controls; Gamma 2.2; Color Mode - Epson Vivid
Plain Paper (not photo), Fine quality

That got the colors very close (at least for the Hurries), and the quality at 300 dpi (very happy with that). I can only hope I get the next decals right on the first printing.

Lots of nice paint jobs on here.

Here's my contribution. I was only able to pick up the Soviet marked Kuznetsov models but with a bit of repainting and some decals from AIM I have a British flight from the BoB...

The markings are for 17 Sqn RAF in 1940. I was lucky to get the decals as Dave at AIM said they were the last set for the Hurricane and that the manufacturer had stopped making them. A shame really as they are nice neat decals and quite easy to apply.

What a magnificent transformation of the ugliest of the Hurries into a classic scheme, Max. You should be proud of them. They are gorgeous. Unfortunately I can not overload you with the rep ammo, since I have to spread it around.
    Well done that man

My Hurricanes were repainted into a somehow desert fantasy scheme
