Wow, I love all the EIII here. Lots of great colors, rigging and a bat! Here is my repaint of the Turkish EIII.
First I gently scraped off the black squares. I found painting directly to the Ares planes was not good with paint flow so I cleaned it off and applied a
flat clear spray. That did the trick and the paint flowed nicely. Orange is a Valejo, the canvas is another Valejo I'll get info on later, decals by Dom.

Is this a ficticious repaint or historical? If historical any details, by the way another fantastic job. 2nd question where are you hiding the Elves?
See you on the Dark Side......
There was no other so provocative Fokker on the whole Western Front. The colours seem to call: "C'mon and get me!" or maybe better: "Erschieß mich!".
Point for your creativity, Peter!
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
Purely fictitious. I did this for the early doors campaign. If the up and coming Peter Buttner survives he will get a series of planes like this.
My emerging elves seem to work in frenzied binges putting out batches of planes here and there. I wish I could train them better like Clipper's.
Just when I thought I could put to rest any desire to expand my paltry early war plane collection, this thread caught my eye. I know there is a darkside called WGS, but now I feel harassed from both flanks.

Great repaint, Peter.
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
Excellent repaint and very bold colour scheme, Peter!
I like it a lot!
Makes me want to start on my spare EIIIs - I just have too many projects planned but un-started.
Great colour scheme. More REP would have come your way but I have to wait awhile and spread some around first.
See you on the Dark Side......
A very attractive colour scheme and rendition James.
Fortunately I have no constraint on awarding rep.

Many thanks for the comments anyway, I came across the scheme while searching around for history and information on the EIII but have no idea if it is historically accurate (An actual plane flown) or a fans own rendition. If it is the later then I would like to thank whoever came up with the scheme.
Many thanks Rob! The decals I also made myself. I was wondering if anyone has the wording the is written on the side of these birds?
opps no need found it.... it's written on the side of the Airplane
Nice kite! Hopefully it will get to fly in the campaign before the new planes start to show up. (sorry, I too have to spread the REP elsewhere, I'll come back when I'm allowed)

Lovely repaint James, and a fantastic colour scheme. Who flew this beauty ?
Nice work James, like the others, I have to spread the rep around some more
Stunning job - can see why you fell in love with the paint scheme - really vivid. Makes me wonder why ARES used such dull versions for the 'factory three'. Understand you had to have Immelmann but surely they could have found prettier options than the ones provided.
These repaints are awesome.
Very Nice Peter!
The stripes really stand out on the grey!
Beautiful models guys! I personally like yours James and Peter. The combination of colors is awesome! REP incoming.
Thanks
Nick
Super paint scheme Peter!
Unfortunately, my Rep gun is jammed as regards you at the moment - I'll save it up for later.
deleted - the site Doubled it, for some reason!
I have popped a bit of rep your way for this and the other aircraft Peter.
Lovely crisp detail.

Thanks for the kind comments and REP. I might rather you don't shoot me down if we meet over the lines somewhere though.
Superb work Peter. Clean crisp work.....clean crisp photos as well.
I pimped my Fokker a bit. I used a thin wire led through hubs made of wire insulation.
Next time i am gonna do this i will leave out the bottom part. Too much hustle and the wires tend to break.
Also the engine shield is made of some sort of a metal alloy, so maybe scratching the paint on it can give it metallic shine.
Looks superb to me. I must admit that I have only rigged the specials, like Udet, and Mrs K's Bristol.

Nice touch, and the close up makes the threading very clear too.

Superb rigging! Far beyond anything I'm capable of.
Very nice riging Jan. Now I feel I have to go back and rig mine.
Thank you guys, it wasn't that difficult after i've found the right way:
1. I used 0.5mm drill bit to drill the holes - there are dents on the wings already so it is super easy.
2. Then i cut the black hub (out of a wire insulation) that i glued on the ramp in front of the cockpit. I filed the ramp first a bit, so it is lower and flatter - the hub will extend it.
3. Then i released 3 thin wires out of a multi-fiber wire (don't know the English word for it but it is a wire that is composed of many thin wires - a standard electrician wire 0.5mm)
4. I led the 3 wires through the hub so the hub was in the middle of their length, then i dripped a small blister of a gel superglue on the wires right next to the hub, and pulled the glue inside together with the wires. Then you have to let it dry.
5. Take each wire - do not bend it to much they do break - and run it through the hole in the wing, pull it and prey it doesn't break. Then put a blister of a gel superglue on a piece of paper, dip a toothpick in it and slap a little of it to the spot where the wire meets the wing on the bottom side. The glue may damage the paint a little, but nobody looks there, haha.
6. If you want to do the bottom rigging, just use longer wires, after you have fixed them in the wings (1-5) run them through hubs you have fixed on the landing construction in very similar manner.
Now that is innovative Jan.
I can't wait to see the outcome.
